  • Publication number: 20240153552
Abstract: A memory array for computing-in-memory (CIM) is disclosed. The memory array for CIM includes a bit cell array, at least one word line and at least one bit line. The bit cell array has a plurality of bit cells, wherein each bit cell is operated at an operating voltage. The at least one word line is electrically connected to the bit cell array, wherein the at least one word line is associated with a first parameter. The at least one bit line is electrically connected to the bit cell array, wherein the bit cells extend along a specific direction, each the at least one bit line has an electrical parameter associated therewith, each the bit cell is associated with a second parameter, a first quantity of the plurality of bit cells of the bit cell array extends along the specific direction, and the memory array determines how an expansion associated with at least one of the first parameter and the second parameter is according to the specific direction.

  • Publication number: 20060029367
Abstract: A method of storing a video stream consistent with certain embodiments involves assigning an sequence header identifier to each sequence of video in the video stream that uses the same sequence header payload; storing the sequence header identifier in an index table that indexes the sequence header identifier to the sequence header; and storing a reference to the sequence header identifier in a manner that associates the video data with the sequence header identifier. A method of playing the stored video according to certain embodiments involves determining that a command that calls for a jump to a new frame of the stored video has been issued; identifying a sequence header identifier associated with the new frame of video; finding a sequence header associated with the sequence header identifier; deciding whether loading sequence header can be skipped or not; loading the sequence header's payload into a decoder; and decoding the new frame of video.

  • Publication number: 20050163476
Abstract: To avoid discontinuities when resuming play of a video stream that was paused while being viewed live and being simultaneously recorded, the timestamp and video stream time base discontinuity count associated with the last-viewed frame are used to access the frame in storage that has the same discontinuity count (indicating that it is in the same segment as the last-viewed frame) and a timestamp one greater than the timestamp of the last-viewed frame.

  • Publication number: 20040002974
Abstract: An arrangement is provided for thread based lock management. A lock manager is first initialized. A thread sends a request with respect to a lock associated with a shared resource to the thread based lock manager. Upon receiving the request, the lock manager determines the request type and associated lock operation requested. The request is then accordingly processed based on the request type. A reply is generated based on the outcome of the processing and returned to the thread.
