  • Publication number: 20150222100
Abstract: The wire stripper is capable of stripping a number of multiple-core wires simultaneously. A positioning element is configured along a middle section on each of a first piece and a second piece. The positioning elements provide support to the wires so as to ensure perpendicular angle of cutting. A gap is reserved between the positioning elements and the first and second pieces, and is for collecting some residuals from removed wire jacket. A rotatable blocking element and an opposing depth control bulge are configured, respectively, adjacent to the bottom of the middle sections of the first and second pieces. By turning the blocking element, the depth control bulge is interfered by the blocking element at different distances, and the cutting by the notches is prevented from going too deep and damaging an insulation layer between the wire's core and jacket.

  • Publication number: 20130228047
Abstract: Multifunctional stripping/cutting pliers are provided for stripping and cutting multi-wire and multi-core electrical cable. The stripping/cutting pliers have plate like bodies that are pivoted in an opposing manner and form in pivot disks thereof a receiving slot in which a spring is received in a concealed arrangement. A stepped hole is provided to extend through a middle portion of the pivoted bodies at a lower side of the insertion site of the spring for receiving a positioning pin to extend therein so as to provide an easy depression operation from the outside of the bides to realize locking. Through the concealed and position-returning arrangement of the spring of the stripping/cutting pliers and assisted by simple depression that achieves locking, the cutting operation of the stripping/cutting pliers can provides the effects of being easy, being practical, and operation and locking safety.

  • Publication number: 20100095463
Abstract: A multi-functional pliers is provided herein, which contains a pair of body members pin-joined together. Each body member contains a head section, a neck section, a body section, and a handle, series connected in this order. On a side of a head section and along its teeth, a number of indented and colored rings are provided. On the other side of the head section, there are a number of indented colored dots. The colored rings and dots provide visual clues to a terminal or wire of the right diameter. The interfacing sides of the neck sections 14 are impacted to form concaves with laterally curved walls with diminishing curvature outward away from the joining pin. On the other hand, each wall has a number of vertical creases and the creases are shallower as they are positioned more distant from the pin.

  • Patent number: 5711182
Abstract: A crimping tool includes first and second elongated members, each of which has a front jaw portion, a middle pivot portion and a rear handle portion. The crimping tool further includes a fastener which extends through the pivot portions to mount pivotally the first and second elongated members to each other in such a manner that the first and second elongated members are movable pivotally towards each other from an open position to a closed position. The rear handle portion of each of the first and second elongated members has an inner longitudinal edge formed with a wire stripping section and a lobe member. The lobe members of the first and second elongated members cooperatively prevent movement of the first and second elongated members away from each other in a direction parallel to an axis of the fastener when the first and second elongated members are operated such that the wire stripping sections of the first and second elongated members cooperatively strip an insulation layer of an electrical wire.
