  • Patent number: 8483951
Abstract: An image processing method and a system are provided. The image processing method of moving camera comprises the following steps. An image of a road is captured by a first camera unit. A coordinate of the image of an object shown in the image of the road is captured when the image of the object shown in the image of the road is selected. At least an aiming angle of a second camera unit is adjusted according to the coordinate to make the field-of-view of the second camera unit aligned with the object. The image of the object is captured by the second camera unit. The image of the object is enlarged.

  • Publication number: 20120158275
Abstract: The disclosure provides a real-time traffic situation awareness system. In one embodiment, the real-time traffic situation awareness system receives driving data from a car, wherein the driving data comprises an image, GPS data, and gyroscope sensor data. The real-time traffic situation awareness system comprises an image processing unit, a feature extraction unit, a feature matrix database, a data grouping unit, and a situation awareness unit. The image processing unit processes the image to generate a processed image. The feature extraction unit generates a data point according to the processed image, the GPS data, and the gyroscope sensor data. The data grouping unit searches the feature matrix database for a plurality of feature groups of an optimal feature matrix corresponding to a geographic area according to the GPS data of the data point. The situation awareness unit analyzes the feature groups to generate traffic information.

  • Patent number: 8171129
Abstract: A smart endpoint and a smart monitoring system having the smart endpoint are provided. The smart endpoint includes a central processing unit (CPU), an interface module, a digital signal processing unit, and a memory module. The interface module is coupled to the CPU for receiving a plurality of heterogeneous monitoring signals and an identification code. The digital signal processing unit is coupled to the CPU for integrally considering the monitoring signals and the identification code to determine an abnormal event, and generate an abnormal event data thereby. The memory module is coupled to the CPU for recording the abnormal event data. As such, the present invention is adapted to determine an occurrence of an abnormal event, by which the passive monitoring can be upgraded to an active monitoring and analyzing, and thus achieving a smart monitoring.
