Abstract: In some embodiments, a method determines an instance of content to be delivered to a client device. The instance of content includes a plurality of segments that is associated with a plurality of profiles. A target metric and a bandwidth distribution are determined. The method determines a performance of the target metric based on the bandwidth distribution and a model for selecting a top profile for the plurality of segments. The model includes a set of conditions. The method solves the model based on the performance of the target metric where solving the model provides a solution that meets the set of conditions and outputs the top profile for each segment. The top profile for each segment for delivery to the client device. The top profile for each segment is used to remove profiles when requesting segments in the plurality of segments during playback of the instance of content.

Abstract: Disclosed are free-form curved surface slicing method and device based on implicit model, includes following: (1) Using mesh model of layered curved surface to intersect with implicit model of a part to be manufactured to obtain contour lines; (2) Comparing rules for intersecting contour lines and meshes within mesh, mesh coordinates are substituted into implicit model, obtaining a position of an intersection point of contour lines in corresponding mesh; (3) Using interpolation method to calculate intersection coordinates of contour lines and mesh boundary, specifying storing sequence of interpolation points, storing intersection points of discrete line segments in mesh; (4) Merging unordered point sets obtained to establish topological relationship between point sets and discrete line segments, each line segment corresponds to two endpoints, each endpoint corresponds to two line segments, based on above, all points traversed will be connected into complete and ordered profile, that is sliced profile.

Abstract: A lighting module, a lamp device and a vehicle are provided. The lighting module includes a light source and a light shaping component configured to shape the light from the light source into a beam with a desired lighting function for emission and includes a light collection portion and a cut-off line forming portion that are integrated, the light collection portion being configured to collect the light from the light source and guide the light towards the cut-off line forming portion, and the cut-off line forming portion being configured to receive the light from the light collection portion and shape the light into an outgoing beam with a cut-off line.

The lighting module includes a first light source and a second light source, a light collector; and a first reflector and a second reflector, wherein the light collector includes a first light collection portion and a second light collection portion that are integrated into one part. The first light collection portion being configured to collect light from the first light source and guide the light towards the first reflector, the second light collection portion being configured to collect light from the second light source and guide the light towards the second reflector, the first reflector being configured to reflect light from the first light collection portion to form a first beam for emission, and the second reflector being configured to reflect light from the second light collection portion to form a second beam for emission.

Abstract: A method for predicting battery cell life for lithium-based battery cells is provided. The method includes receiving a predetermined end-of-life pressure, tracking an onboard battery cell pressure change between battery cells, determining a pressure between the battery cells, and determining if the pressure is greater than a pre-end-of-life warning pressure. If the pressure is less than the pre-end-of-life warning pressure, then the method includes providing the pressure to at least partially determine the onboard battery cell pressure change. If the pressure is greater than the pre-end-of-life warning pressure, then the method includes determining if the pressure is greater than the predetermined end-of-life pressure. If the pressure is less than the predetermined end-of-life pressure, then the method includes providing a pre-warning failure indication. If the pressure is greater than or equal to the predetermined end-of-life pressure, then the method includes providing an indication of failure.

Abstract: A high input impedance switched capacitor amplifier is disclosed. The switched capacitor amplifier includes at least a first buffer circuit configured to charge a first plurality of capacitors during a first time period. A switch circuit is configured to, during a second time period, cause a modification of an amount of charge stored on one of the first plurality of capacitors by coupling an input signal directly to the one of first plurality of capacitors. An amplifier circuit is configured to, based on a sampling voltage present on one of the first plurality of capacitors, generate an output signal.

Abstract: An electrolyte for a battery cell, a battery cell for a vehicle, and a method of forming an electrolyte. The electrolyte includes a carbonate solvent, a primary lithium salt present in the solvent at a concentration in the range of 0.6 M to 2.0 M, a secondary lithium salt optionally present in the solvent at a concentration in the range of 0.1 M to 0.5 M. The electrolyte further includes a phenyl additive including at least one of a fluorine substituent and a fluorinated substituent, the phenyl additive present in an amount of 0.5 percent by weight to 20 percent by weight of the total weight of the electrolyte, and a co-additive present in the range 0.1 weight percent to 20 weight percent of the total weight of the electrolyte.

Abstract: A preparation method of a dual-anion catalyst, and a use of the dual-anion catalyst in catalytic degradation of a polyurethane material are provided. The preparation method includes: dissolving a metal salt in deionized water to produce a metal salt solution; adding a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compound with hydroxyl or amino as a substrate to a reactor, adding the metal salt solution dropwise to the reactor, and conducting condensation reflux at 60° C. to 150° C. for 1 h to 8 h; adding an amine compound dropwise, and conducting a reaction; after the reaction is completed, conducting vacuum filtration to produce a filtrate; and subjecting the filtrate to evaporation, and oven-drying a resulting product to produce the dual-anion catalyst. A recovered polyol obtained through the degradation with the catalyst exhibits basically the same fundamental physical properties such as hydroxyl value, amine value, and viscosity to a virgin polyol.

The method determines a plurality of top profile decisions for the plurality of segments where a top profile decision lists a top profile that can be selected for respective segments in the plurality of segments. A performance of the target metric is determined for the plurality of top profile decisions based on the bandwidth distribution. The method selects a top profile decision from the top profile decisions based on the performance of the target metric for the top profile decisions. The top profile decision is used to determine a target quality. The target quality is used to select top profiles for requesting segments in the segments during playback of the content.

Abstract: In some embodiments, a method receives a data structure for an auto decision process for predicting a value for a decision feature of a plurality of features. The data structure is generated using a decision aware splitting process that splits a node in the data structure using the decision feature and a metric-based process that splits other nodes of the data structure by evaluating features in the plurality of features using a metric. Feature values are determined for a combination of features for a playback session. The method evaluates the data structure using the combination of features to determine a plurality of prediction values for a plurality of feature values of the decision feature. The prediction values are used to generate a decision for the playback session by selecting a feature value in the plurality of feature values based on the plurality of prediction values.

Abstract: In some embodiments, a method selects historical information from one or more previous playback sessions to a current playback session for content. A bandwidth is determined using the historical information. The method selects a profile from a list of profiles using a bitrate that is determined based on the bandwidth. The profile is used to download a segment of the content in the current playback session.

Abstract: A grid map includes a first-layer map including multiple first grids and a second-layer map including multiple second grids. The number of the multiple second grids is greater than the number of the multiple first grids and multiple second grids are mapped by each first grid. When the multiple second grids mapped by the first grid have a same attribute value, the attribute value is stored in the first grid. The first grid is alternatively configured to store index information, and the index information is configured to point to a data structure of the plurality of second grids mapped by the first grid.

Abstract: A jitter sensor circuit for measuring jitter of a clock signal is disclosed. The jitter sensor circuit includes a time-to-voltage converter circuit that is activated at random intervals to generate, using a reference voltage, a signal whose voltage is proportional to a portion of a period of the clock signal. The jitter sensor circuit also includes an analog-to-digital converter circuit that converts the output signal of the time-to-voltage converter circuit to a digital value using the same reference voltage as the time-to-voltage converter circuit.

Abstract: A method of making a capacitor-assisted hybrid electrode for a lithium-ion electrochemical cell includes admixing a solvent, a cellulose-based dispersant, and a plurality of capacitive particles comprising carbon to form a dispersion. The cellulose-based dispersant forms hydrogen bonds with one or more carbonyl-groups on the capacitive particles comprising carbon. The dispersion is combined with an electroactive material, an electrically conductive material, and a binder to form a slurry. The slurry is applied to a current collector and solidified to form the capacitor-assisted hybrid electrode having a composite hybrid active layer on the current collector. Capacitor-assisted hybrid electrodes formed from such methods are also provided.

Abstract: In some embodiments, a method determines whether to use first logic or second logic to select a profile from a list of profiles to download a segment of content. When using the second logic: selecting historical information from one or more previous playback sessions; determining a bandwidth using the historical information; and selecting the profile using a bitrate that is determined based on the bandwidth. When using the first logic, selecting the profile without using the historical information.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method, an electronic device, and a computer program product for data processing. The method may include receiving a data conversion strategy from a server. The method may further include determining, in response to receiving unstructured data from a field device, metadata of the unstructured data based on the received data conversion strategy to form a set of metadata. In addition, the method may include transmitting at least a part of the set of metadata to the server. According to embodiments of the present disclosure, edge computing can be performed on unstructured data, which not only enables timely processing of monitoring data, but also reduces computing load on the side of the server, thereby improving the user experience.

Abstract: In some embodiments, a method receives quality metric values for profile levels in a plurality of profile levels for a segment of content. An available bandwidth and associated bitrates of profile levels in the plurality of profile levels are evaluated to select a first profile level. The quality metric values for profile levels in the plurality of profile levels are evaluated to select a second profile level. The method selects a profile level in the plurality of profile levels based on the first profile level and the second profile level. The profile level that is selected is requested for the segment.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and compositions for an electrolyte that inhibits thermal runaway are disclosed. For example, an electrochemical cell may include an anode, a cathode, and the electrolyte. The anode includes a lithiated silicon oxide material, the cathode includes a nickel-rich material, and the electrolyte is formed from an electrolyte mixture. The electrolyte mixture includes a primary salt, a secondary salt, and a solvent. The primary salt is configured to facilitate ion movement between the anode and the cathode. The secondary salt is a high-HOMO salt. The secondary salt is also configured to form a solid-electrolyte interphase on the anode and a cathode-electrolyte interphase on the cathode. The solvent includes a cyclic solvent component, a linear solvent component, and a fluorinated solvent component.
