Abstract: A method and system for generating data in a mobile device is provided. The method includes, outputting an image, stored in the mobile device, to an external screen, capturing the external screen on which the image is being displayed and creating a captured image, comparing the output image with the captured image and extracting an added image from the captured image, and creating data from the extracted image. When the mobile device user writes or draws on an external screen on which the mobile device outputs an image, the mobile device can capture the external screen, create data from the user's input content and store them in the storage unit.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for providing a clipboard function in a mobile device. The method includes: detecting whether a clipboard mode entry event for entering a clipboard mode has occurred; searching for at least one object capable of being clipped on a touch screen displaying a screen of the mobile device, when the clipboard mode entry event has occurred; and displaying at least one clip identifier matched with the at least one found object on the touch screen of the mobile device.

Abstract: An electronic device and a method arrange icons on a screen of the electronic device. In the method, when a user selects an icon displayed on a screen, the device determines whether there is a sub-icon associated with the selected icon. If there is a sub-icon, the device arranges and displays the sub-icon in a radial arrangement on the screen around the selected icon, so the user can visually perceive the relation between the selected icon and its sub-icon, and easily select and use a desired function or data associated with the sub-icon.

Abstract: A method and system is provided that controls an external output function of a mobile device according to control interactions received via the microphone. Abstract: A mobile device for supporting an external output function has a projector module and at least one image sensing module. The mobile device activates the image sensing module when entering into an external output mode, and outputs screen data externally in the external output mode. The mobile device detects a user interaction based on the image sensing module in the external output mode, and controls the external output of the screen data, according to the user interaction. An image of the screen data outputted externally may be acquired using the image sensing module and, based on the acquired image, new content may be created.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for providing a user interface for interacting to various touch events detected by multiple touch sensors formed on the different surfaces of a mobile terminal are provided. The method, for a mobile terminal having a first touch area and a second touch area, includes detecting a touch event that includes a first touch sensed on the first touch area and a second touch sensed on the second touch area, identifying a movement pattern of the touch event, and providing a user interface in accordance with the movement pattern. The apparatus and method for providing a user interface according to the present invention is advantageous to input various user commands intuitively using multi-touch gestures and improve utilization of the mobile terminal with enriched emotional expressions.

Abstract: A mobile terminal and communication mode switching method is capable of efficiently managing a data connection to a network via a wireless link when the mobile terminal switches between a master operation mode and a slave operation mode. A communication mode switching method determines whether a request for a second mode communication session is detected while the mobile terminal is in a first mode communication session with a network via a first interface. The system and method initializes and activates a second interface when a request for a second mode communication session is detected. The system and method also synchronize the first interface and the second interface, re-register a Mobile Internet Protocol (MIP) with the network, acquire an IP address as a consequence of the re-registration of the MIP, and communicate data with the network using the acquired IP address.
