  • Publication number: 20070050778
Abstract: In a user interface method, system and device in a multitasking environment, it is possible for a user to view all of a plurality of simultaneously executed applications by assigning different display areas to the plurality of applications. In the method, system and device, priorities of applications already being executed and of additional applications for which execution is requested are determined, and a display area size is determined and assigned to each application according to its priority. The system comprises a set-top box for performing the latter functions and a user terminal for transmitting a user request, while the device comprises a control unit for performing the latter functions.

  • Publication number: 20070050724
Abstract: In a user interface method, system and device in a multitasking environment, all applications being executed are displayed. Movement between applications being displayed and selection of the applications can be performed in response to a request from a user, such that the user can easily use applications being executed currently. Currently selected applications do not block other applications, and the user is able to simultaneously view all applications. The sizes and positions of the display areas assigned to the applications are determined based on stored feature values of each respective application, the entire display screen area being partitioned based on the feature values. The system comprises a set-top box and a user terminal, or a controller and a storage unit.

  • Publication number: 20070050733
Abstract: A method and apparatus for constructing a dynamic menu for a user interface are provided. An application-related map is prepared on the basis of all executable applications. All applications connected with a currently running application are searched for on the application-related map at the request of a user to construct and display the dynamic menu. Thereby, a user-oriented interface is realized.

  • Patent number: 6955879
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for producing a recombinant polynucleotides comprising the steps of generating a pool of unidirectional single-stranded polynucleotide fragments from two or more homologous double-stranded polynucleotides, conducting a polymerization process comprising multi-cyclic extension reactions using the unidirectional single-stranded polynucleotide fragments as templates and specific oligonucleotides as primers to obtain recombinant polynucleotides, and conducting a polymerase chain reaction using at least one primer to amplify the recombinant polynucleotides; and a method for constructing a recombinant DNA library comprising the steps of inserting the recombinant polynucleotide prepared by the above method into a vector and transforming an expression cell with said vector containing the recombinant polynucleotide to obtain a plurality of mutant clones.

  • Publication number: 20050074892
Abstract: A method for evolving a polypeptide or a polynucleotide coding therefor, which comprises preparing a library of mutant polynucleotides through transposon-mediated random substitution, insertion or deletion of a multiple of three nucleotides on a polynucleotide coding for a target protein, expressing the mutant polynucleotides in a host cell and screening for a polypeptide having a desired property.
