Abstract: A separable portable multi-display device is provided. A portable multi-display device includes a main body panel housing having a first display, a sub-panel housing having a second display, and a coupling device for coupling the main body panel housing to the sub-panel housing such that at least one sides of the first display and the second display can contact each other. The panel housings are separable from and connectable to each other, a range of a border between the displays when the panel housings are interconnected being minimized so that the displays can be shown as if it is driven as a single screen.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a multi display device that can realize a large-sized screen by interconnecting a plurality of display elements. The multi display device comprises at least two flat display elements of which adjacent sides are closely contact each other to make a large-sized screen, housings receiving and supporting the display elements, respectively, light-compensating means for refracting display light from the display elements toward a center area of the adjacent sides thereof, thereby to minimize or remove the non-display area in the screen.

Abstract: In an information searching method, it is first determined if an input retrieval word is a sentence composed of a plurality of words. A functioning code is assigned to each word of the sentence according to its function in the sentence, and then the words are coded in basic words. Then, a database in which information is composed of a sentence having a plurality of words each of which is assigned with a functioning code and coded in a basic word is retrieved on the basis of the coded retrieval word to search information having function codes and word codes identical to those of each word of the retrieval word.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a case for a portable display device that can realize a large-sized screen by interconnecting a plurality of display elements. When the display elements are unfolded, the adjacent sides of the display elements closely contact each other, thereby minimizing the non-display area. When the display elements are folded, the outer surface of the display elements can be protected. The case includes a foldable panel housing receiving at least two flat display panel elements. The panel housing is provided with an opening such that when the panel housing is unfolded, the adjacent sides of the flat display elements closes contact each other. The case further includes a hinge supporting member for providing the folding/unfolding operation of the panel housing and cover means for covering a side of the flat display elements, which is exposed through the opening, to protect the display elements.

Abstract: An electron emission device and/or an electron emission display using the same includes a beam-focusing structure using an insulating layer. The beam-focusing structure has a first insulating layer formed on a plate. The first insulating layer has a predetermined thickness, and is formed with a first hole. A first electrode is formed on the first insulating layer and extending into the first hole. An electron emission portion is formed in the first hole and connected to the first electrode. A second insulating layer is formed on the first electrode and is also formed with a second hole through which the electron emission portion is at least partially exposed. A second electrode is formed on the second insulating layer. In the electron emission device and/or the electron emission display, an electric field between the first electrode and the second electrode causes the electron emission portion to emit an electron beam and focuses the electron beam from the electron emission portion.

Abstract: A portable multi-display device includes at least two panel housings in which a variety of circuits and displays are mounted, the displays being designed adjacent to each other at their one side, and framework for fixing the displays to mount the displays into the panel housings, the framework being provided at its one side with a screen joint portion.
