Actuation of a selected button will automatically dial the telephone number of the name which is associated with the button at the time of actuation. The names and corresponding telephone numbers are each formed into groups with each selected group of names having a name selectively associated with each selection button and with either manual or automatic electrical switching to cause the group of telephone numbers corresponding to the selected group of names to be operatively connected with the selection buttons.

Abstract: An automatic telephone dialing apparatus wherein a plurality of telephone numbers are stored in a storage medium for rapid retrieval thereof upon the actuation of a single button to produce a complete dialing signal for a telephone system. The apparatus is designed so that information identifying successive numeral digits of each telephone number is stored in accordance with various alternative schemes such that numeral digits in corresponding digit positions of each telephone number form at least one of a plurality of separate groups each group being stored at a different region of the storage medium.
