    Abstract: A method and apparatus for selecting a Modulation and Coding Selection (MCS) level by a base station in a wireless mobile communication system is provided. The method includes receiving channel condition information from a terminal; estimating a channel condition of the terminal based on the channel condition information; determining a location of the terminal based on the estimated channel condition of the terminal; measuring intensities of signals that are periodically received from the terminal; determining a moving direction and a moving velocity of the terminal based on the measured intensities; and selecting an MCS level that is to be allocated to the terminal based on the location, the moving direction, and the moving velocity of the terminal.

    Abstract: A light emitting diode (LED) linear light modulator with temperature compensation includes a comparing module, a timing processing module, an LED module and a temperature compensating current control module. The comparing module compares an analog input signal with a triangular wave sampling signal to generate a pulse width modulation (PWM) signal. The PWM signal is inputted into the timing processing module and converted to a digital signal. The temperature compensating current control module, electrically connected to the LED module and the timing processing module, includes a plurality of low-temperature correlated linear current units and a switching switch, and controls a current amount passing through the LED module to generate a low-temperature correlated linear current. Thus, the color temperature of an LED is prevented from drifting with a change in the ambient temperature.

The heat dissipating module in the invention can achieve the dual thermal dissipation efficiency via the different cooling modes so as to satisfy the heat dissipating requirement of high speed processors.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a sorbent for the removal of mercury from combustion flue gas and a preparation method thereof. The sorbent includes an activated heavy oil heavy ash impregnated with 0.1-30% by weight of any chemical substance selected from sulfur, iodine, bromine and chlorine. The sorbent is prepared in an economical manner using heavy oil fly ash, industrial waste generated from heavy oil-fired boilers, and has excellent sorption performance for mercury, so that a low concentration of mercury contained in combustion flue gas discharged from large-scale boilers can be removed by injection of a small amount of the sorbent. Thus, the invention can prevent a reduction in the recycling rate of coal fly ash in coal-fired power plants and minimize operation cost.
