  • Publication number: 20200069930
Abstract: Provided is a system and method for a flared luer connector for medical tubing. More specifically, the flared luer connector includes a tube head adapter formed of a resilient material providing an inlet and opposite thereto an outlet with a longitudinal axis there between. A luer lock fitting is formed proximate to the inlet and structured and arranged to engage a syringe, and at least one flared member disposed between the luer lock fitting and the outlet, the flared member rising from the tube head adapter and angled towards the outlet. The flared member also provides at least one engaging surface between the tube head adapter and a distal edge, the engaging surface acutely angled with respect to the longitudinal axis. The engaging surface is structured and arranged to engage with a corresponding receiving section of a base, the base having a deflector section structured and arranged to deflect a tube head adapter having other than the corresponding flared member.

  • Patent number: 10576199
Abstract: Provided is a system and method for a removable syringe micro pump. The removable syringe micro pump includes a pump housing having a first end and opposite thereto an attaching end, and at least one sidewall there between, the housing having a base proximate to the first end and, the attaching end having an attacher structured and arranged to temporarily engage a syringe. At least one wave spring is nested within the housing and attached proximate to the base. The wave spring having has a compressed first position wherein the wave spring is disposed within the pump housing, and a second extended position wherein, the release of tension extends the spring normally away from the pump housing. The wave spring has a diameter pre-selected to pass within a barrel of the engaged syringe. And engage a plunger seal of the syringe. An associated method of use is also provided.

  • Patent number: 10183124
Abstract: Provided is a system and method for an ergonomic needle protector. More specifically, provided is an ergonomic needle protector for a needle having a first curvature. The ergonomic needle protector has a flexible body having a first end and a second end, and an internal channel extending from the first end towards the second end. The flexible body is formed of a resilient material structured and arranged to return to a curved state along the length of the flexible body according to a second curvature different from the first curvature of the needle. The internal channel is structured and arranged to receive the needle when the flexible body is deformed to conform the internal channel to the first curvature and frictionally bind against the needle when the flexible body is released back to the second curvature. An associated method of use is also provided.
