  • Publication number: 20250260709
Abstract: A system and method for analysis of potential cybersecurity threats in an engineered system combines a functional simulation of the system with a cyberattack information layer. The cyberattack information layer informs the simulation with respect to the effects of a potential cyberattack on devices and links in the system. An iterative AI-based sequential decision-making optimization identifies a sequence of attacker steps for carrying out a cyberattack which has the greatest impact on a key performance indicator relating to operation of the system. The cyberattack information layer includes information relating to a topology and devices in the system from a computer network perspective and includes information on an amount of effort required to carry out possible attacks affecting each device or communication link in the system. The decision-making optimization may be run iteratively between the simulation and the cyberattack information layer to find a most impactful sequence of attacker actions.

  • Patent number: 12387271
Abstract: Systems and methods for reducing network traffic associated with generating event predictions based on cognitive image analysis are disclosed. The system receives a user input indicating a location identifier of a location of interest. The system queries a data store to determine whether an image associated with the location of interest satisfies a data recency criterion. In response to the image failing to satisfy the data recency criterion, the system queries a remote data store to determine whether another, additional image associated with the location of interest satisfies the data recency criterion. In response to the additional image satisfying the data recency criterion, the system extracts one or more image-based attributes of the additional image and determines a distance between objects of the image. The system generates an event prediction based on the image-based attributes, the distance, and location-based attributes using a machine learning model to be displayed.

  • Patent number: 12387270
Abstract: Various embodiments disclosed include, for each entity in a portfolio, receiving entity data indicative of attributes of an entity, determining the received entity data for at least some entities is missing a portion of the entity data required to perform a cyber risk analysis; and synthesizing the missing portion. The method may further include comparing the received entity data and synthesized missing portion for each of the entities to each other; locating clusters of similar entity data shared between two or more of the entities; and calculating a cyber risk score representing how different the entities are to one another based on the entity data that are not shared between entities. Some embodiments include comparing entities that are missing some entity data to entities which have complete entity data, and generating a synthesized portfolio by selecting entities having complete entity data to replace the entities that are missing entity data.

  • Patent number: 12381819
Abstract: Mac learning for cross-site layer-2 connectivity. Some embodiments provide a method for enabling data traffic to be sent between across which a logical network spans. A logical network segment (i.e., a layer-2 network segment such as a logical switch) spans at least two sites via tunnels between network elements deployed in the sites that operate as bridges (or 2-port switches) to pass data traffic between the sites without leaving the logical network segment. Because these network elements operate similarly to bridges, they are not assigned network (layer 3) addresses (e.g., IP addresses). In order to send address resolution protocol (ARP) requests to a router in one site, the network element in another site uses a network address of one of the data compute nodes (DCNs) operating in its site that is connected to the logical network segment spanning the two sites.
