  • Publication number: 20220348959
Abstract: RNA virus vectors comprising a gene encoding the DNA-dependent activator of interferon-regulatory factors (DAI) protein, and optionally further comprising a gene encoding the receptor-interacting serine; threonine-protein kinase 3 (RIPK3) may be used therapeutically to induce cell death, as well as an inflammatory immune response, against tumors and virally-infected cells.
    Type: Application
    Filed: April 18, 2022
    Publication date: November 3, 2022
    Inventors: Siddharth Balachandran, Roshan Thapa
  • Publication number: 20220194937
Abstract: Identified compounds demonstrate protein kinase inhibitory activity. More specifically, the compounds are demonstrated to inhibit receptor interacting kinase 2 (RIPK2) and/or Activin-like kinase 2 (ALK2) and/or receptor interacting kinase 3 (RIPK3). Compounds that are either dual RIPK2/ALK2 inhibitors or that preferentially inhibit RIPK2 or ALK2 or RIPK3 could provide therapeutic benefit. Compounds that function as RIPK3 inhibitors provide therapeutic benefit in the treatment of inflammatory and degenerative conditions.

  • Publication number: 20050244505
Abstract: The present invention directs to compositions and methods for modulating immune system. One aspect of the present invention relates to a composition comprising FADD-dependent signaling pathway modulators. Another aspect of the present invention relates to biodegradable microparticles, such as a chitosan microparticle, or PLGA/PEI microparticle, designed to deliver nucleic acids and/or proteins, such as FADD-dependent signaling pathway modulators, to boost different pathways of an immune response. Another aspect of the present invention relates to the method of making biodegradable microparticles. The further aspect of the present invention relates to the use of the chitosan and other polycationic microparticles to deliver FADD-dependent signaling pathway modulators to modulate immune system for the prevention and/or treatment infectious diseases and cancers.
