  • Publication number: 20210099567
Abstract: Proactive caching, at a client device (e.g., a feature phone), of transient assistant action suggestions for selective rendering by an assistant client application of the client device. A transient assistant action suggestion, when rendered via an assistant client application and selected, causes the assistant client application to initiate performance of a corresponding assistant action. In various implementations, a prefetched transient action suggestion can be a time-constrained suggestion that includes at least associated rendering restriction metadata that defines one or more temporal windows to which rendering of the time-constrained suggestion is restricted. Proactive cache refresh rate metadata can also be associated with transient action suggestion(s) and defines a duration during which the assistant client application is to refrain from interfacing with a remote system to prefetch updated transient assistant action suggestions.

  • Patent number: 10584921
Abstract: A heat exchanger includes first and second sets of parallel arranged tubes. The first set of tubes extends along a first arcuate path, the second set of tubes extends along a second arcuate path, and each one of the second set of tubes is aligned in a common plane with a corresponding one of the first set of tubes. Corrugated fin segments are arranged in spaces between adjacent tubes, and crests and troughs of the corrugated fin segments are joined to broad and flat faces of the tubes. In making the heat exchanger, the material of the corrugated fin segment is intermittently slit to define breaking points prior to arranging the corrugated fin segment between the tubes.

  • Publication number: 20190392951
Abstract: A mutation profile can be determined for an individual's DNA sequence or sequence segment that provides information about the evolutionary history of the DNA. This mutation profile can then be used with a machine learning classifier trained on other people's mutation profiles to determine probabilities that the individual has certain phenotypes. An example is cancer, where the probabilities of different types of cancer can be provided in a disease risk propensity.

  • Publication number: 20190041853
Abstract: Apparatuses, methods, and systems for performing a distributed compute task by a computer-assisted or autonomous driving (CA/AD) vehicle are disclosed herein. In embodiments, an apparatus may include a communication interface disposed in the CA/AD vehicle to receive the compute task. In embodiments, the compute task is part of a collection of distributed compute tasks that are assigned to the CA/AD vehicle or other compute apparatuses based at least in part on resources available to the CA/AD vehicle and to the other computer apparatuses. In embodiments, a compute engine may perform the compute task using, at least in part, the available resources of the CA/AD vehicle. Other embodiments may be disclosed and claimed.

  • Patent number: 9647869
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention relate to providing a method and system for presenting users with the ability to host a virtual world especially one that is capable of being used in a game based environment for teaching and learning, and more specifically to improving ease of customization, enabling on-demand-usage and facilitating content sharing for hosting private virtual locations on virtualized servers specifically so that multiple discreet virtual worlds can be hosted (automatically and remotely), started or removed on one or more servers simultaneously and independently of each other without affecting the other hosts.

  • Patent number: 9252118
Abstract: A semiconductor metallurgy includes a ratio of germanium and palladium that provides low contact resistance to both n-type material and p-type material. The metallurgy allows for a contact that does not include gold and is compatible with mass-production CMOS techniques. The ratio of germanium and palladium can be achieved by stacking layers of the materials and annealing the stack, or simultaneously depositing the germanium and palladium on the material where the contact is to be manufactured.

  • Publication number: 20150369354
Abstract: A gear casing heat exchanger has a mounting flange separating the heat exchanger into a first side and a second side. A manifold section is on the first side, and includes an inlet manifold and an outlet manifold. A heat exchange section is on the second side, and extends from the mounting flange in a lengthwise direction. A sealing perimeter is on the second side, and the heat exchange section is entirely contained within a projection of the sealing perimeter in the lengthwise direction. The heat exchange section of the heat exchanger can be inserted through an aperture of a gear casing to provide a cooled gear assembly.
