  • Publication number: 20230387584
Abstract: An electronic device may include wireless circuitry having one or more antennas. An antenna ground for an antenna may be formed from two separate conductive ground structures coupled to each other via a conductive interconnect structure. A slot element may be formed in one of the conductive ground structures to reject signals at one or more victim frequencies resulting from spurious signals generated by a non-ohmic contact formed between the conductive interconnect structure and the one of the conductive ground structures. The conductive interconnect structure may overlap and excite the slot element, which serves as an ineffective radiator at the one or more victim frequencies.

  • Publication number: 20230385157
Abstract: Snapshot or point-in-time image functionality improves the use of object-based datastores. An example system includes an object-based datastore and a metadata datastore associated with the object-based datastore. Instances of the metadata datastore are created as snapshot images of the object-based datastore. Comparison of snapshot images is important for database analytics, disaster recovery, data protection, and more. Example techniques provide comparison of snapshot images (as metadata datastore instances) and remain robust and accurate in view of compactions performed by the metadata datastore. An example technique includes generating and updating a graph-based data structure that captures relationships between metadata files in the metadata datastore, particularly between pre-compaction files and post-compaction files.

  • Publication number: 20230385304
Abstract: Snapshot or point-in-time image functionality improves the use of object-based datastores. An example system includes an object-based datastore and a metadata datastore associated with the object-based datastore. Instances of the metadata datastore each identify the distributed data blocks that respectively store the objects included in the object-based datastore. An instance of the metadata datastore is used as a snapshot image of a set of objects of the object-based datastore based on identifying the distributed data blocks that were mapped to the set of objects during a point in time. A different instance of the metadata datastore is dynamically updated to reflect present mappings of distributed data blocks to objects in the object-based datastore. Different instances of the metadata datastore are used to read objects from previous timepoints, restore the object-based datastore to a previous snapshot image, enable intelligent deletion of objects of the object-based data store, and more.

  • Publication number: 20230377434
Abstract: A method for reducing alarm notifications from a security system deploying a plurality of cameras within a monitored area includes processing a first video stream captured by the first camera of the security system to detect an alarm event observed in the Field of View (FOV) of the first camera and processing a second video stream captured by a second camera of the security system to detect the same alarm event observed in the FOV of the second camera. A combined alarm notification corresponding to the alarm event is sent, wherein the combined alarm notification includes the alarm event and may identify the first camera and the second camera as both detecting the same alarm event in their respective FOVs.

  • Publication number: 20230379529
Abstract: A computer implemented method controls a first device to coordinate with other devices in suspending playback of a media stream that is accessed and played by each device. A first wait point identifies a first playback position and is associated with a first action. Upon encountering the first playback position, playback of the first media stream is suspended. Upon detection of completion of the first action by the first device, the suspension is ended and an update message representing a ready to resume state is broadcast to other devices that are playing respective media streams. Playback is resumed by the first device in response to receiving a threshold number of the update messages from the other devices.

  • Publication number: 20230379527
Abstract: A computer implemented method synchronizes content state on multiple devices that are independently accessing the content. Each device synchronizes their clock and broadcasts an update message that includes an update message timestamp obtained from the clock and a playing state of content being played on the device. Update messages are received from the other devices and the corresponding time stamps are compared to identify the most recent update message and most recent playing state of the content. Each device updates to play the content from the most recent playing state included in the most recent update message.

  • Publication number: 20230376605
Abstract: A storage appliance or system may support backup and recovery for virtual machines that support various applications. The storage appliance or system may process a backup snapshot of the virtual machine to identify security vulnerabilities in the virtual machine. The storage appliance may generate an index of software packages installed on the virtual machine and software versions of the software packages. The index of software packages may be compared to a list of security vulnerabilities to identify the security vulnerability at the virtual machine. A notification may be triggered, and the notification may indicate a result of comparing the index of software packages and the software versions to the list of vulnerabilities. In some examples, a set of network configurations implemented by the virtual machines may be determined by processing the backup snapshot and used to identify security vulnerabilities.

  • Publication number: 20230359273
Abstract: Various implementations disclosed herein include devices, systems, and methods that initiate an action based on a detected gaze direction oriented towards a target area (e.g., a hot corner/zone). For example, an example process may include producing a reflection by directing light towards an eye using an illuminator, receiving sensor data from a sensor, wherein a direction of sensing by the sensor (e.g., the optical axis of the camera) and a direction from the eye to a target area are approximately aligned, determining a reflective property (e.g., a spectral property) of the reflection based on the sensor data, detecting that a gaze direction of the eye is approximately oriented towards the target area (e.g., a hot zone/spot) based on the reflective property, and initiating an action based on detecting that the gaze direction is approximately oriented towards the target area.
