  • Patent number: 11571330
Abstract: A cryolipolysis device is provided. The cryolipolysis device includes a suction unit including a flange configured to press against a treatment area of a user, and a chamber contiguous with the flange that defines a cavity configured to receive an ice pack. The cryolipolysis device also includes a manual vacuum device configured to produce suction within the chamber of the suction unit to generate a vacuum to maintain the flange against the treatment area of the user.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 4226676
Abstract: The vault of a liquid metal cooled nuclear reactor is lined with thermal insulation. The insulation is in two layers, a first layer cladding the vault surface is of solid ceramic material while a second layer cladding the first layer is of fibrous or metallic material. In the event of a breach of the vessel leakage of liquid metal is absorbed by the second layer providing a conduction path to the first layer thereby enhancing heat loss to the concrete of the vault and maintaining the internal temperature at a safe limit.

  • Patent number: 4056434
Abstract: A liquid metal cooled nuclear reactor has scanning means whereby ultra sound is transmitted between a transducer unit and objects in the pool of reactor coolant by way of a liquid wave guide. The wave guide is created by drawing liquid metal from the pool of coolant into a dip pipe to submerge the transducer unit. The liquid metal is drawn up in two stages with a cooling period between the stages.

  • Patent number: 4024018
Abstract: In a liquid metal cooled fast breeder nuclear reactor of the pool kind a fuel transfer rotor submerged in the pool of coolant carries an annular series of thimble shaped containers for receiving fuel assemblies. The containers are elastically supported in the rotor and a hydraulic dash pot is provided to absorb the energy of a falling fuel assembly.
