    Abstract: A method of administering an agent to the ocular lens of animals for the treatment of an aging parameter and nuclear cataracts therein which includes the steps of preparing a solution of D,L-penicillamine; exposing an artificial ocular contact lens to the solution such that the compound is retained on the artificial lens; and contacting the animal lens with the artificial lens so that the compound is absorbed into the animals lens. Another method is to incorporate the compound in a timed-release carrying agent and place the agent in the inferior cul de sac of the eye.
