  • Patent number: 5564192
Abstract: The invention relates to a guide bar for the saw chain of a motor-driven chain saw. The guide bar has a guide groove which extends about the periphery thereof wherein the saw chain runs. The guide groove is delimited by two side plates which are tightly connected to each other and are held at a spacing relative to each other. The side plates are also approximately coincident with each other. At least one of the side plates has a connecting part which projects in a direction toward the other side plate. This connecting part lies with a contact surface on a corresponding counter surface of the other side plate. The connecting part of a side plate extends through the guide groove up to the other side plate and there contacts with its contact surface the counter surface of the other side plate. The contact surface and the counter surface lie approximately perpendicular against each other. In this way, a simple manufacture of the guide bar and an easy assembly thereof is guaranteed.

  • Patent number: 4970993
Abstract: The invention relates air-cooled combustion engine powered handheld tool. A fan screen has radial struts and tranverse walls which together define windows. The effective intake suction area of the fan is less than the area of the screen. Wood chips and the like are kept out by the size of the windows and the reduced air flow velocity through the screen.

  • Patent number: 4468154
Abstract: A method of disposal or temporary storage of fine particulate solid waste material or a mixture of such solid material with liquid including pumping the solid material entrained in liquid through a pipeline by means of a piston pump into a natural or artificial dump space above ground or below ground. To pump fine grained waste materials, for example dusty or paste-like and sludge-like waste materials, without incurring problems regarding the entrainment liquid and to prevent, in the case of underground storage, the production of a geologically insufficiently stable packing in a natural or artificial cavity, a high-consistency mixture containing less than 20% by weight of liquid, which is generally water, is pumped into the space by means of the piston pump.

  • Patent number: 4088047
Abstract: A method of producing cutting teeth for a chain saw each of which has a tooth roof and a base body cranked relative to the tooth roof along a substantially sharp edge. The method includes using as starting material a flat band which at least on one flat side of the flat band has a ridge-shaped projection extending in the longitudinal direction of the flat band. The method further includes cutting the band transverse to its longitudinal axis into sections so that each section has an overall size just sufficient for the formation of a cutting tooth to be formed, while the ridge-shaped projection divides each section into a shorter end portion and a longer end portion. The shorter end portion is bent to form the tooth roof, and the longer end portion is provided with a crank relative to the tooth roof.
