  • Patent number: 11207935
Abstract: An air suspension system of a commercial vehicle comprises an electronic control device with a level control valve device. A valve element is coupled to a drive element mechanically coupled to a vehicle wheel or axle. In a first relative position of the valve element and a counter valve element, a port for an air suspension bellow is blocked. In a second relative position, the port for the air suspension bellow is connected to a port for an aeration device. In a third relative position, the port for the air suspension bellow is connected to a port for a deaeration device. Control logic generates a control signal for an actuator which, when a level change is set by an operator, correspondingly changes the relative position of the valve element and the counter valve element or the relative position of the counter valve element and a valve housing.

  • Patent number: 7431406
Abstract: The present invention relates to a compressed air processing system. The compressed air processing system includes an inlet connection, a pressure control unit, a multi-circuit protection valve, a plurality of outlet connections, a parking brake connection, an electronic control unit and a valve arrangement. The inlet connection is connected to a conduit coming from a compressor. Each of the outlet connections is connected to a circuit (I, II, and so forth). The parking brake connection is connected to a conduit coming from a parking brake cylinder. The electronic control unit includes an electric input connection for a control signal. The valve arrangement aerates and locks the parking brake connection in a controlled way due to a signal being generated by the electronic control unit. The valve arrangement also deaerates the parking brake connection due to a signal being generated by the electronic control unit.

  • Patent number: 7139649
Abstract: The invention relates to an adaptation of a level of an air suspension element of a vehicle from a starting level to a desired level. Usually, such adaptation is done by opening a control valve connecting an air container with the air suspension element for an opening interval. According to the invention, a control unit determines an estimate for a future point in time for a suitable closing time of the valve. The estimate is determined considering a desired future level, actual loading conditions of the vehicle and an actual pressure level of the air container.
