  • Publication number: 20120278033
Abstract: Method for the determination of the position angle of a capacitive motion encoder (1) for sensing the position of a rotor (6) relative to a stator (2, 37) comprising an eccentric rotor disk (6, 7) relatively movable to a stationary stator (2, 37) with four electrical isolated field transmitters (4a, 4b, 4c, 4d; 38a-d) which generate an electrostatic field in a receiver area (5) which is modulated by a change in capacitance between the stator (2, 37) and rotor disk (6, 7) response to relative motion of the elements; and a processing circuitry (49) coupled to sense the modulated electrostatical field and determine responsive thereto a measure of the position of a moving object, characterized in that within one cyclic measurement time (10) at least 8 measurements (11 through 18) are carried out defining at least 8 different capacitance values (C1, C2, C3, C4, C4?, C3?, C2?, C1?) where the first capacitor C1 is measured in the 1st and 8th cycle, the second capacitor C2 is measured in the 2nd and 7th cycle, the th

  • Publication number: 20090008371
Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus for the cutting of technical fabrics, in particular for airbags, by means of laser radiation. Such fabrics in question are usually placed or folded over one another in multiple layers and then separating layers made of a foil or of paper are positioned between the individual layers and have to be removed again in a very complex and/or expensive manner after the cutting using laser radiation. It is therefore the object of the invention to provide possibilities for the cutting of fabric for airbags with increased flexibility, machining speed and reliability. The apparatus in accordance with the invention has at least one deflectable laser beam which is directed to a fabric carrying out a feed movement along an axis.

  • Patent number: 7187305
Abstract: An encoder in a motor system measures radial movement and translational movement of a disk with a single integrated sensor disposed on a microprocessor chip. The encoder measures position information and eccentric movement of the disk by the integrated sensor. The measured positional information and eccentric movement information are then combined generating single corrected positional information of the disk. The corrected single positional information may be provided to a user in standard format for operation of the motor system.

  • Patent number: 6310455
Abstract: An electric motor, gearbox, position phase angle sensor and motor phase angle sensor are integrated in a common housing to reduce the size of a positioning and actuating system. The housing also includes electronics for detecting and processing the signals from the phase angle sensors. The rotor shaft of the electric motor is designed to be hollow, and the drive shaft is mounted coaxially. The output shaft passing coaxially through the gearbox, and the end of the shaft which protrudes from the gear box is provided with a coupling. The drive shaft passes coaxially through the rotor of the electric motor and carries a position phase angle sensor at the end of the electric motor opposite the gear box. The motor phase angle sensor on the rotor shaft coaxially encloses the position phase angle sensor. The scanning detectors of both sensors are arranged on a common circuit board, which also carries the electronics for detecting and processing the signals of these sensors.

  • Patent number: 4473808
Abstract: An electromagnet system for electromagnetic switchgear, the system having movable and stationary magnet portions, the stationary magnet portion having a pole surface wherein slots are provided for inserting a short-circuit ring. The slots are arranged so that the short-circuit ring may be substituted with a pole plate which extends beyond the pole surface on all sides. The pole plate has an opening which corresponds to the size of the pole surface. The opening is provided with two straps thereacross which can be inserted into the slots. This arrangement permits operation of the electromagnet system in response to AC, as well as DC, excitation.
