  • Patent number: 7172607
Abstract: A device for generating an artificial constriction in a gastrointestinal tract includes a band, which can be placed annularly about a particular portion of the gastrointestinal tract, having a fillable hollow volume, and a closure device for connecting end regions of the band placed annularly about the portion of the gastrointestinal tract. The closure device is a safety closure, which, at a tear-off tension exceeding a limit value, opens free of destruction, and which can be closed again. This limit value of the tear-off tension is in the range between 20 and 60 N, and preferably between 30 and 50 N.

  • Patent number: 5669260
Abstract: A method of manufacturing an elongated rail (12) with a C-shaped cross-section transversely of its elongated direction from a sheet metal strip (1) by bending marginal sections along each elongated side edge (2) of the strip at 90.degree. with respect to the surface of the strip. Effecting the bending action by discs (5, 6, 7). Next using a profiling disc (8) rolling a profiled surface into each of the side edges (2) and then after returning the marginal edges to their original thickness, bending the strip into a C-shaped cross section extending transversely of its elongated direction.

  • Patent number: 5667328
Abstract: An attachment member is formed of a connecting part (31) and a deformed plate part (31a) in the form of a pipe clamp for securing pipe lines to a structural component. The pipe clamp has a throughbore (33) surrounded by an annular collar (37). A contact surface (35) formed by a mechanically worked attachment section (36) has an annular shaped recess (38) for receiving the collar (37).

  • Patent number: 5628598
Abstract: An attachment nut includes a base member (1) and an elastic retaining insert (6) connected to the base member. The attachment nut serves for fastening components (18), for instance pipe members, to a C-shaped profiled rail (15). The retaining insert (6) has locking tabs located diametrically opposite one another. The tabs can be pivoted about an axis into a slot-like opening in the profiled rail (15) to prevent the turning of the attachment nut. Each locking tab has a projecting lug for effecting the manual turning of the attachment nut within the profiled rail (15).

  • Patent number: 5489173
Abstract: An attachment device secures structural component (39) to a fastening rail (32) having a slot-like opening (34). The attachment device includes a flexural member (27) to afford better handling. The flexural member (27) is deflectable in the axial direction as well as in the radial direction. A snap-in connection of the attachment device to the fastening rail (32) is achieved by the outside contour of a radially spring deflectable region (31) of the flexural member (27) which has a dimension greater than the width of the slot-like opening (34). An elastic axially extending region (28) of the flexural member (27) provides an axial prestress between a base member (21) and a cap member (29), so that accidental detachment of the attachment device positioned in the fastening rail (32) is prevented.

  • Patent number: 5193769
Abstract: A vertically adjustable pipe hanger includes an elongated strip-shaped member (1), and a threaded rod (2) carrying a lock nut (3) and a stop nut (4). The strip-shaped member (1) is bent to form a retaining loop section with bent off first and second end sections (1b, 1c), one superimposed on the other and forming a closure for the retaining loop. All of the tensile forces are carried by a projection (1f) on the first end section (1b) in engagement with a folded section (1g) of the second end section. The first and second end section (1b, 1c) are clamped together by the lock nut (3) and stop nut (4) and release of the interengagement of the projection (1f) and the folded section (1g) is prevented.
