Patent number: 5473880Abstract: A multi-station textile machine, especially a double twisting machine or cabling machine, has spool containers arranged adjacent to one another in rows for receiving feed spools. A guide rail of a continuously or intermittently driven endless conveyor extends about the periphery of the machine frame in close contact therewith and has spool holders for conveying the feed spools. The lowermost position of the feed spools conveyed by the spool holders defines a horizontal plane which is substantially at the same level as the plane defined by the upper side of the spool containers. The spool holders are spaced apart from one another by a distance which is three to eight times the distance between neighboring spool containers.Type: GrantFiled: September 3, 1993Date of Patent: December 12, 1995Assignee: Palitex Project-Company GmbHInventors: Wolfgang Leupers, Siegfried Inger, Heinz Kamp, Peter Schages

Patent number: 4453377Abstract: A two-for-one twisting spindle has a compressed-air-actuating device which is disposed in the region of the hollow axle (21) of the spindle (1) above the spindle rotor, and which influences the run of the yarn and to which a compressed-air passage (29), extending through a stationary part (7) of the spindle, leads, in order to prevent the yarn from being drawn through the hollow axle of the spindle in the event of breakage of the yarn. The compressed-air-actuated device is a compressed-air-cylinder (27) whose axis intersects the hollow axle of the spindle at right angles thereto and whose outer wall has two openings (25) which are located diametrically opposite one another and which are in alignment with the hollow axle of the spindle, and a piston (26) which is displaceable within the compressed-air cylinder and whose rear end is subjectable to compressed air for the purpose of clamping (FIG. 1), or cutting (FIG. 5) through the yarn.Type: GrantFiled: May 10, 1982Date of Patent: June 12, 1984Assignee: Palitex Project-Company GmbHInventors: Siegfried Inger, Heinz Fink

Patent number: 4280322Abstract: A textile yarn processing machine, such as a two-for-one twister or the like, having respective yarn processing stations is provided with an improved yarn monitoring system for stopping the operation of the yarn processing station in response to the absence of a yarn running therethrough, as for example, upon the occurrence of a yarn breakage. The improved yarn monitoring system of the present invention is constructed generally as follows: A yarn sensor is constructed and mounted so as to be held in an operative setting by yarn tension when the yarn is running in normal operating condition and to be released in the event of the release of such tension, as upon a yarn breakage. A switching mechanism is provided for stopping the operation of the yarn processing station, and means is provided for operably connecting the yarn sensor to the switching mechanism for actuating the switching mechanism upon the release of the yarn sensor from its operative setting.Type: GrantFiled: July 27, 1979Date of Patent: July 28, 1981Assignee: Palitex Project Company GmbHInventor: Siegfried Inger
