  • Patent number: 4635512
Abstract: A shear for cutting a stock between a feed conveyor and a discharge conveyor has a pair of rollers which can engage the stock when the movable blade is in its upper position, the slide having a stroke equal to the distance by which the discharge conveyor is located below the feed conveyor.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 25, 1985
Date of Patent: January 13, 1987
    Assignee: Carl Ulrich Peddinghaus
    Inventors: Kurt Wengenroth, Siegfried Klaus
  • Patent number: 4625855
Abstract: An apparatus for displacing profiled steel rods, especially concrete reinforcing rods, off a roll conveyor. The apparatus includes a plurality of bars interspersed with the rolls of the conveyor. At their undersides, the bars are associated with respective bearing bolts which are adapted to be received by horizontally aligned sockets so that in the rest position the upper surfaces of the bars are located below the level of the top of the conveyor. Piston and cylinder combinations are provided at each side of the conveyor to selectively raise one bearing bolt out of its socket while retaining the other bearing bolt seated in its socket, thereby to move the bars up above the conveyor and to create an inclined plane by which a rod traveling along the conveyor and engaged by the bars can be displaced and cast off the conveyor to one side or the other depending on the sense of inclination of the bars.

  • Patent number: 4479375
Abstract: A bending mandrel arrangement for use in a machine for the simultaneous bending of a plurality of parallel reinforcing rods for concrete comprises a work support beam on which the rods rest, a trackrail mounted on said work support and having an upper open grooveway and a vertical wall, a plurality of mandrels having arms which engage in said trackway and abut said vertical wall so that the mandrel arms can be simultaneously urged into clamping engagement with said trackrail, and a bending bar which is movable around said mandrel arms to bend said rods.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 18, 1983
Date of Patent: October 30, 1984
    Assignee: Rolf Peddinghaus
    Inventors: Siegfried Klaus, Albert Einhaus
  • Patent number: 4383430
Abstract: A bending machine for reinforcement mesh wires wherein the bending-rod which bends the wires around mandrels is supported by arms extending beneath the rest upon which the mesh is located in use. The bending-beam which carries the rod is driven in an arcuate path to perform the bending operation by means of cranks of adjustable eccentricity which co-act with a web member to which the beam is adjustably coupled. The components are so arranged that an imaginary line intersecting the crank axes is parallel to a similar line intersecting the bearings whereby the cranks are coupled to the web member.

  • Patent number: 4008885
Abstract: A holddown device for retaining material in place to be sheared, which holddown device includes a longitudinally movable beam that is resiliently maintained in its operating and starting positions, which resilient arrangement precludes breakage of the elements employed to position the beam during its various movements.
