  • Patent number: 4691229
Abstract: Apparatus for checking or, respectively, correcting a color picture to be printed on a monitor, whereby reference colors stored for color checking by means of a coordinate acquisition means can be made visible in a reference color field at abitrary locations of the color picture.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 6, 1985
Date of Patent: September 1, 1987
Assignee: Dr. Ing. Rudolf Hell GmbH
    Inventors: Armin Colditz, Siegfried Klopsch
  • Patent number: 4639770
Abstract: A method and apparatus for isochromatic simulation of a multi-colored reproduction on a color monitor. Before simulation, colors are generated on the color monitor and are matched to corner colors of a printed color chart or the like by measuring or visual comparison. The color values required for the chromatically coinciding generation of the corner colors on the color monitor are measured and allocated to color separation values of the corner colors. The color values required for generating intermediate colors are calculated upon consideration of the printing process of the multi-colored reproduction and are allocated to the corresponding color separation values of the intermediate colors. During the simulation, the color separation values of the multi-colored reproduction are output, modified according to a gradation curve, and transformed into the color values for driving the color monitor in accordance with the previously identified allocations.

  • Patent number: 4285009
Abstract: A device for producing corrected color chromatic components for multicolor printing wherein an original is scanned and rerecorded in the form of color separations with interposed color corrections including color correction means having an electronic color camera for scanning an original and a color viewing monitor and an adjustable color correction computer connected to the camera so as to correct the trichromatic color signals supplied by the camera and including a color converter connected between the color correction computer and the monitor for compensating for fixed parameters of the respective printing process and for adaptation of the colors to the luminescent materials of the monitor screen and including a scanning for a second scanning of the original and with a recording unit for recording the color chromatic components and wherein after correction of the color components has occurred the computer can be connected to the recording unit and receive signals directly from the scanner for reproduction.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 11, 1979
Date of Patent: August 18, 1981
Assignee: Dr. Ing. Rudolf Hell GmbH
    Inventor: Siegfried Klopsch
  • Patent number: 4189742
Abstract: In a device for producing corrected color chromatic components for multicoloring printing in which an original is scanned and displayed on a color monitor in which different color components are supplied to comparators for each color channel and in the comparators the color signals are respectively compared with upper and lower thresholds such that the colors which exceed or fall below the threshold values are indicated so that color corrections may be made.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: February 19, 1980
Assignee: Dr. Ing. Rudolf Hell GmbH
    Inventor: Siegfried Klopsch
  • Patent number: 4189741
Abstract: In a device for producing corrected color chromatic components for multicoloring printing in which an original is scanned and recorded and selectively displayed on a television monitor in which a switching arrangement is provided for producing an one-color frame which surrounds the color picture on the picture screen so as to allow improved color corrections to be made.
