  • Patent number: 8813645
Abstract: A printing press includes a printing form cylinder, a blanket cylinder, an impression cylinder, an adjusting device for setting a printing pressure between the blanket cylinder and the impression cylinder, a control device for throwing the pressure of the blanket cylinder on and off relative to the impression cylinder and springs for producing bearer ring pressure between bearer rings of the printing form cylinder and bearer rings of the blanket cylinder. The springs are integrated into coupling links and are connected to at least one of the two devices in such a way that, as a result of the actuation of that device, the springs are also adjusted, in order to keep the bearer ring pressure at least substantially constant.

  • Patent number: 8794148
Abstract: A printing press includes an assembly and a cam mechanism for moving at least one part of the assembly. A cam of the cam mechanism has a curvature course with points, in particular bends or jumps, which are not constantly differentiable within a movement region of the cam. The cam mechanism can include an actuator for the temporal displacement of jolts which are induced by the points that are not constantly differentiable to the at least one part of the assembly. An adaptation of the movement which is produced to the operating state of the printing press is possible, with the result that a considerable reduction can be achieved in vibrations for all printing speeds.

  • Patent number: 6955123
Abstract: A printing machine having at least one roller and at least a first and a second functional element for executing cyclic movements synchronized with a rotational movement of the roller and driven, together with the roller, by a drive unit, includes spring elements, respectively, assigned to the functional elements, the spring elements being stressed in one phase of the cyclic movement and relieved of stress in another phase of the cyclic movement, respectively, a phase wherein a first one of the spring elements is stressed being synchronized with a phase wherein a second one of the spring elements is relieved of stress.

  • Patent number: 6877430
Abstract: A gripper device in a sheet-processing machine includes a gripper, a gripper pad associated with the gripper and a first drive for moving the gripper out of an opened position thereof into a closed position thereof. The gripper is cooperatively engageable with the gripper pad for producing a clamping force for holding sheets being processed. A second drive is separately operable from the first drive during a production printing operation of the sheet-processing machine. The first and second drives are operable for positioning the gripper and/or the gripper pad so that clamping faces of one of the gripper and/or the gripper pad are movable by the second drive perpendicularly to clamping faces of the other of the gripper and/or the gripper pad.

  • Patent number: 6240795
Abstract: A cam-controlled power differential gear transmission for a sheet acceleration system, which is formed of a pregripper having an acceleration course determinable by a control cam driven at a single speed, includes two compensating masses pivotably supported diametrically opposite one another, and respective control cams assigned to the compensating masses, respectively, for controlling the pivoting motion thereof.
