  • Patent number: 7677633
Abstract: In a convertible vehicle having a folding convertible top (16), whose rear side is affixed to a tensioning bow (20) laterally supported relative to the vehicle, and a rear trunk lid (14) laterally supported relative to the vehicle, wherein its front side is arranged in the vicinity of the tensioning bow in its closed state, the tensioning bow (20) can be brought into an upwardly pivoted position during the opening of the rear trunk lid (14) or when the rear trunk lid is opened, so that an opening for loading of a luggage compartment, which is arranged underneath the rear trunk lid and underneath the tensioning bow at least when the folding convertible top is closed, is enlarged.

  • Publication number: 20080051958
Abstract: A process for controlling and adjusting an active chassis system (1) of a vehicle having a sensor device (2) and at least one element (3, 4, 5) for acquiring vehicle accelerations of the chassis system (1). The mode of operation of the one or more elements (3, 4, 5) is modified by a control device (6) which is in operative connection with the sensor device (2) such that subframe oscillations occurring while driving are minimized. Torsional oscillations of the body are determined by the sensor device (2) and the control device (6). The mode of operation of the element (3, 4, 5) is adjustably controlled by the control device (6) to counteract the calculated torsional oscillations of the body.

  • Patent number: 6206460
Abstract: A motor vehicle, particularly a convertible, with a vehicle body to which longitudinally moving struts are assigned and with a supporting frame which includes a longitudinally moving strut, is constructed so that at least one of the struts is constructed so that its length can be varied and has assigned to it an absorbing unit for determining a longitudinal stress, a control element for bringing about a counterforce as well as a control unit for the control element.

  • Patent number: 5979970
Abstract: A roof assembly for a convertible vehicle includes a roof shell, which, in the closed position, is connected with a front windshield frame and runs essentially horizontally to a rear roof region and which can be shifted into an open position which opens the interior of the vehicle regionally. The roof shell is formed by two roof parts which are divided in the transverse direction of the vehicle and are connected over joint connections at the edge and which, by means of a driving unit engaging the rear roof part, can initially be swiveled up jointly during the opening process counter to the driving direction into an approximately vertical position and, after that, lowered into a packed position behind the rear seats.

  • Patent number: 5207474
Abstract: A folding top for a passenger car with a folding roof (convertible) includes flexible roofing which is accommodated between opposite pairs of rod linkage legs of a folding rod linkage. With the swivelling motion of the folding rod linkage in a plane parallel to the longitudinal center plane of the vehicle, the folding top can be brought from a closed position held in a windshield region into an essentially superimposed folded position of the rod linkage legs in the rear region of the vehicle. In order to achieve improved handling and a secured covering of the folding top, the region of the top formed in the closed position between the front rod linkage legs is constructted as a shell for the top, which in itself is stiff and dimensionally stable, and is connected flush with the flexible roofing and can be fixed in the folded position in the rear region over the folded top in a covering position.
