    Abstract: An energy control device comprises a switching device and a control system. The switching device is provided with a switch contact adjacent to a counter-contact on one side and to a counter-stopper on the other side thereof. The counter-stopper is arranged on an springy arm which is made of a round steel spring-wire and has on one end thereof a spiral spring segment. The spiral spring segment makes it possible to mount the springy arm on an elongated supporting rod in such a way that it is displaceable in a longitudinal direction, thereby displaying a certain clearance. The springy arm is applied with the other end thereof to an eccentric disc, thereby making it possible to modify the position and consequently place of the counter-stopper.

The temperature sensor (16) operates a snap-action switch (22) located in a base (12) by means of an actuator separate from the said switch, which has at least one actuating part (41), which is loaded in the actuating direction by a leaf spring (34), the actuating part (41) and leaf spring (34) being in one piece. In a further development of the invention the leaf spring (34) or actuating part (41) can be a receptacle for an adjusting device, preferably an adjusting screw (38).

    Abstract: A casing (11) of a thermostat (12), which is to be fixed to the rim (17) of a reception container (16) for a heating device, is substantially inserted in a recess (23) of the rim (17). The recess (23) is open to the outer edge of the rim (17) and has two lateral boundaries (24). In the fitted state the casing (11) forms a mechanical connection between the lateral boundaries (24) and closes the transmission of forces in the course of the rim (17) and in particular clamps together the rim in the circumferential direction. The fastening of the casing (11) and the bracing takes place by means of at least partly bent round and/or bend roundable fastening tongues (25) and/or clamping tongues (27), preferably emanating from the lateral boundaries (24). The invention inter alia leads to a positionally reliable positioning of the thermostat (12) on the reception container (16).

    Abstract: In a radiant heating unit the temperature sensor (30) of a temperature limiter (29) extends over only part of the diameter of the heating field (17) in which the radiation heaters (13) are located. The temperature sensor is so constructed and/or mounted, that it exerts a pressure on the mounting support (44), e.g. in the form of a projecting member of the insulator (7), which is, e.g., located in the center of the heater. Thus, it keeps the insulation under a certain pretensioning pressure and it is simultaneously prevented that it is raised upwards and comes too close to the heated plate.

Thus, in particular the smaller values of the relative switch on duration of the appliance switch (6) can be set much more accurately, so that there is a very precise power control in the low setting ranges.

    Abstract: A power control includes a thick film resistor on an electrically insulating support plate, for heating a bimetal strip operating switch contacts connecting power to a load, and to the resistor. The support plate is secured and the resistor thereon is electrically contacted by means of a resilient clip at one end, in the vicinity of a fixed end of the bimetal strip. An opposite end of the support is connected to a power source via a movable contact spring. An opposite free end of the bimetal strip acts directly on the switch contacts to disconnect power upon bending of the bimetal strip with heat. The bimetal strip and a control operator for biasing the bimetal strip are shaped like an L, with two legs pivotable around a pin adjacent the base of the bimetal strip.
