  • Patent number: 4715175
Abstract: A binding apparatus for tying up a round bale of harvested material formed in a baler, which is mounted on the housing of the baler, comprises at least one cord supply spool, a cord guide mechanism for guiding at least one cord along the upper surface of the round bale to tie the bale up, and a cutting mechanism for the cord, which is connected to the cord guide mechanism. The cord guide mechanism comprises at least one cord guide arm and a cord disk having a gear unit. The cutting mechanism is connected by means of a connecting rod to one end of a pulling strap, the other end of the pulling strap being attached by means of a pulling spring to a transverse truss provided for the binding apparatus, and on the cord guide mechanism an operating mechanism cooperating with the pulling strap is provided, in order to tie up the bale once or twice according to choice, before the cord is cut by the cutting mechanism.

  • Patent number: 4711078
Abstract: The baler for crop material comprises an intake mechanism, a feed mechanism for transporting the crop material from the intake mechanism to a chamber for pressing and binding. Between the feed mechanism and the chamber for pressing and binding a bale separator is provided for the continuously supply of crop material attached to the housing of the baler outside of the feed path, which cuts away a bale by operation of a bale separator hydraulic cylinder and a slider hydraulic cylinder, after which the bale is bound, while additional crop materials are continuously fed into the baler. The process of our invention for making bales in a baler comprises continuously feeding crop material into the baler, which a bale cut away from those supplying crop material is separated therefrom, bound by cord, and ejected from the baler.

  • Patent number: 4638623
Abstract: The round baling press with a pick-up device, having a binder device and a rolling chamber, on the side walls of which a plurality of rollers is mounted rotatablyin h ousing orifices, can be produced rapidly and more cheaply since the bearing housing orifices are open outwards for the radial insertion of the bearing shafts of the rollers, which are already provided with flanged bearing halves and coil guards. The protective hood placed upon the rollers exhibits side walls parallel to the side wall of the rolling chamber, which are provided with asymmetrical recesses so that the side walls of the protective hood can be connected to the rolling chamber simultaneously with the flanged bearing halves of the bearing shafts.

  • Patent number: 4579052
Abstract: A large bale press for cylindrical and/or rectangular bales of cut blade material comprises a compression chamber having an input opening for the blade material, a discharge opening for the finished bales, a take-up unit for the cut blade material, and a conveyer drum between the take-upunit and the input opening. One or more typing mechanisms each having a swivel yarn guide and swivel needle, effects wrapping of a corresponding number of yarn strands around the bale. The discharge opening is formed by pivoting part of the compression chamber about a horizontal axis.

  • Patent number: 4557189
Abstract: The apparatus for binding rolled bales comprises at least one reel of twine, a twine guiding device for guiding the hank of twine along the surface of the bale to be bound and a control device for the twine guiding device, comprising a rope sheave and a set of gears. The twine guiding device comprises two spaced twine guiding arms staggered with respect to one another which may be pivoted in the opposite direction one from the other from an initial position, in which the two arms cross over one another, to a maximum position, in which the two ends of the bale are simultaneously bound, to an end position, which corresponds essentially to the initial position.
