  • Publication number: 20250042690
Abstract: A thread-splicing device for a workstation of a textile machine that produces cross-wound bobbins and has a splicing prism with a splicing channel to which pneumatic pressure can be applied, as well as thread-guiding plates arranged on both sides of the splicing channel, and which is equipped with thread-locking means. At least one interfering element is positioned on both sides of the splicing prism in a region between the thread-guiding plates and a thread-locking means in such a way that the thread ends to be spliced contact the interfering element during the splicing process.

  • Publication number: 20030167747
Abstract: A device for the pneumatic splicing of yarns, especially elastane yarns, has a splicing body (25) defining a splicing conduit (26) loadable with compressed air, as well as with pneumatic tubes (33, 34) for pneumatically preparing the yarn ends (31, 32) to be spliced, wherein the central axes of the pneumatic tubes intersect the central longitudinal plane of the splicing conduit. The pneumatic tubes (33, 34) are replaceably fixed in bores (46, 47) of the splicing body (25), with the inlet opening (48, 49) of the pneumatic tubes (33, 34) positioned in the immediate vicinity of one of the two outlets (50, 51) of the splicing conduit (26). The inlet opening (48, 49) of the pneumatic tube (33, 34) has a funnel-shaped contour (52) that promotes insertion of the cut ends of the upper and lower yarns (31, 32) into the pneumatic tubes (33, 34).

  • Patent number: 6298647
Abstract: A yarn-connecting device for a cheese-producing textile machine having a pneumatic splicing device (22) located outside of the normal travel path of the yarn, a gripper tube (25) acted upon by suction air for manipulating yarn ends to be spliced, and a pivotable gripper tube flap (18) for closing the gripper tube mouth (27). A control crank (33) is arranged at an upper end position (II) of the gripper tube (25) for acting on the gripper tube flap (18) such that in the course of pivoting the gripper tube (25) into the position (II), the gripper tube flap (18) is lifted slightly off the gripper tube mouth (27), while the gripper tube flap (18) always closes the gripper tube mouth (27) when the gripper tube (25) is pivoted out of the position (II).

  • Patent number: 5829706
Abstract: A yarn end preparation device for a cheese-producing textile machine includes at least one preparation nozzle having a mouth. A clamping device and a cutting device manipulate a yarn to be prepared for a subsequent operation. The cutting device is disposed in the immediate vicinity of the mouth of the at least one preparation nozzle. An additional loop former is also provided.

  • Patent number: 5651507
Abstract: A yarn splicing device for textile winding machines comprises a splicer mechanism for pneumatically joining yarn ends, upper and lower clamping and cutting devices, and suction-actuated yarn placement devices for placing the yarn ends to be spliced. According to the invention, one yarn placement device is a gripper tube normally parked in a zero position upstream of the yarn travel. The gripper tube has a spring-biased, pivotable gripping flap and a yarn placement hook for simultaneously placing both the lower yarn and the upper yarn to be spliced. For that purpose, one of the gripper tube and gripper tube flap carries the yarn placement hook forwardly for manipulating the upper yarn and a yarn guide disposed between the yarn placement hook and the pivot axis of the flap for placing the lower yarn.
