  • Patent number: 5930142
Abstract: A process and device are provided for numerical control, in particular, of machine tools or robots having a plurality of axes. The process and device use base interpolations performed on a block-by-block basis and, in addition, one or more gear interpolations that convert a controlling guiding motion into a follower motion. Each gear interpolation is assigned parallel to one or more base interpolations and functions independently of block limits of a base interpolation in its own gear interpolation segments. The coupling characteristic of a gear interpolation ensues from a coupling factor, from a control curve stored in tabular form, or from a control curve stored as a mathematical functional equation. The gear interpolations can be obtained from so-called gear interpolation units and can be cascaded. Moreover, they can be fed back directly or indirectly and can be variably interconnected, as needed, with any existing sources and actuators.

  • Patent number: 5377598
Abstract: A desktop mount comprises a shelf and at least two spacers for mounting said shelf on a support, e.g., on a desktop. To ensure that the desktop mount can support technical end electronic equipment which can conveniently be operated, each spacer consists of a swivel bracket, which comprises a bracket base, which is adapted to be secured to a desktop or other support, and a bracket arm, which is pirated to the bracket base and to the shelf on spaced apart vertical axes.

  • Patent number: 4775049
Abstract: A container for generally flat articles, such as magnetic tape cassettes, comprises a plurality of receptacles, which are arranged one behind the other and into which respective flat articles can slidably be inserted along pairs of tracks, which are provided on the inside surfaces of mutually opposite side walls. A support for a flat article is provided at the bottom of each receptacle. The tracks of each pair define a throat which defines an axis and comprises stops so that each flat article can be supported on one of said supports so as to be tiltable about said axis through an angle which is defined by said stops. In order to permit a proper accommodation of unpackaged and packaged flat articles, such as magnetic tape cassettes, the width of each throat is adapted to the thickness of one of said unit packages and the tracks are provided in their rear walls on a level between the supports and the throats with upwardly facing, re-entrant steps, which are adapted to support said packages at adjacent corners.

  • Patent number: 4627535
Abstract: A container for magnetic tape cassettes comprises a plurality of receptacles for slidably receiving respective cassettes. Each of said receptacles comprises tracks provided at mutually opposite side walls or partitions. In order to provide a container which permits a convenient handling of the cassettes and from which the cassettes can easily be taken, each receptacle provides fulcrums about which the associated cassette can be tilted. Each track defines a throat, which has a width that is slightly in excess of the thickness of a cassette so that a cassette contained in each receptacle can be tilted about fulcrums formed by the tracks at the throats. The tracks of each receptacle comprise stops, which limit the extent of the tilting movement of the cassette. Each cassette is supported by laterally spaced apart supports provided adjacent to the bottom of the container.

  • Patent number: 4616892
Abstract: A plastic drawer comprises a bottom, longitudinal side walls, and a transverse partition detachably connected to the longtitudinal side walls. To preclude a deformation of the side walls and of the bottom, the transverse partition is firmly connected to the bottom of the drawing. That connection may be effected by means of a vertical carrying pin, which is rotatably supported in the transverse partition and extends through an opening formed in the bottom and is rotatable to a position in which a locking member carried by the carrying pin engages the underside of the bottom of the drawer.

  • Patent number: 4446408
Abstract: A control apparatus for machine tools is provided which comprises a pulsed digital difference detector having one input connected to a digital branch and having a second input connected to a follower drive and having an output, an adding register having its input connected to the output of the pulsed digital difference detector, an analog nominal value source having its control input connected to the output of the adding register, and an analog branch having an input connected to the analog nominal value source and having its output connected to the input of the follower drive. A drive motor for the tool provides a signal to the digital branch and a drive motor for the blank forms part of the follower drive. The drive motor for the tool is a d.c. motor coupled to a velocity pickup, and cooperating with means for withdrawing the tool and a distance pickup coupled to the drive motor for the blank.
