Abstract: The invention relates to mixtures of nitrogen-containing surface-active agents which are obtained by esterification of oxyalkylates based on modified or nonmodified naturally occurring resin acids or resin amines or resin alcohols derived therefrom with dicarboxylic acids or anhydrides thereof and subsequent reaction with alkylenediamines or alkylenepolyamines. These nitrogen-containing surface-active agents are suitable as coupling auxiliaries, emulsifiers, dispersing agents, preparation agents for solids dispersions, corrosion protection and metal-working agents and as wetting agents and dyeing auxiliaries.

Abstract: Nitrogen-containing condensation products based on unmodified or modified natural resins, process for the preparation thereof and the use thereof.The invention relates to surface-active agents of the general formulaA--[(X--O).sub.n --Y--Z].sub.min which A is a radical of an unmodified or modified natural resin or esterification product thereof with a polyhydric alcohol, X is 1,2-ethylene or -propylene, Y is as defined for X or is --CH.sub.2 CHOHCH.sub.2 --, Z is OH or (Ia)(--NH--Q).sub.a --NR--(Q--NH--).sub.b H (Ia)in which R is H or C.sub.1 -C.sub.24 --alkyl or (--CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 O).sub.p --H, with p being 1 to 100, or (--Q--NH).sub.c --H, Q is C.sub.1 -C.sub.24 ---alkylene which can be interrupted by oxygen atoms, a is 0-5 and c is 0-5,at least one Z being other than OH,n is 0 to 150 andm is 1 to 5.

Abstract: Intense azo pigment formulations which have good flow and are readily dispersible are obtained on adding a long-chain aliphatic primary amine and a diamine of the formulaH.sub.2 N--A--NH.sub.2in which A is an aliphatic hydrocarbon radical having 6 to 30 C atoms, before, during or preferably after the coupling. The formulations are in particular suitable for intaglio printing inks which produce glossy prints which do not even strike through thin papers.

Abstract: A form of the disazo pigment C.I. 20040 having the formula 30% of ##STR1## IS SHOWN HAVING IMPROVED COVERING POWER, IMPROVED FLUIDITY IN LACQUER SYSTEMS AND HIGH LUSTER, WHICH IS CHARACTERIZED BY A SPECIFIC SURFACE OF 10 - 20, PREFERABLY 12 - 17 M.sup.2 /G AND A MAXIMUM IN GRAIN DIAMETER DISTRIBUTION BETWEEN 500 AND 1000 NM, AT LEAST 30 % OF ALL GRAINS HAVING A DIAMETER OF FROM 500 TO 1000 NM AND LESS THAN 25% OF ALL GRAINS HAVING A DIAMETER OR MORE THAN 1000 NM. This new pigment is obtained by isolating the pigment, after coupling, by stirring it out with alkali and, after having filtered it off and washed until neutrality, heating it to temperatures above 100.degree. C with an organic solvent which is immiscible with water or miscible with water to a limited degree only.
