    Abstract: An electromagnetically interference-proof flight control device having an hydraulic positioning drive for a control surface, the position of which is to be influenced. Provided are at least one signal line for feeding in optical control signals, at least one hydraulic pressure line and a return line, an electrohydraulic valve arrangement which precedes the hydraulic positioning drive and is connected to the hydraulic pressure line, an optical-electronic converter which converts the optical control signals into corresponding electronic signals for the electrohydraulic valve arrangement and a hydraulic-electric energy converter. The hydraulic-electric energy converter serves as an electric energy source for the opto-electronic converter and for addressing the electrohydraulic valve arrangement.

    Abstract: A gate-controlled semiconductor device comprises a semiconductor substrate disposed on a support element, where the semiconductor substrate has a recess protruding from the top surface into the semiconductor substrate for forming a gate electrode. An insulating layer covers the semiconductor and the recess and has at least two openings each having an electrode attached. In the semiconductor an npnp-transition is formed, which can be fired and interrupted by the gate electrode. The semiconductor device is useful in power control circuits, where it is important to control and switch large power signals with very small control signals.

    Abstract: An improved radio frequency (rf) powered radial flow cylindrical reactor utilizes a gas shield which substantially limits the glow plasma discharge reaction to a section of the reactor over the semiconductor substrates which are to be coated. The gas shield permits the use of higher rf input power which contributes to the formation of protective films that have desirable physical and electrical characteristics.
