  • Publication number: 20090289475
Abstract: An inner gusset plate is connected, in each case in the region of the C pillar, to a roof frame cross-member, to a lateral roof frame member and to a rear sealing channel cheek of a motor vehicle or of a rear part of a motor vehicle. The inner gusset plate is arranged opposite a further, outer, connected gusset plate. The two gusset plates form a pillar profile and are connected to a wheel box of the body structure. The inner gusset plate is supported via adjoining inner brackets on a longitudinal member of the vehicle, which longitudinal member is adjoined by two cross-members in the vehicle floor, which cross-members are arranged in the region of the supporting base of the inner bracket on the longitudinal member.

  • Publication number: 20090180359
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of operating a cognitive radio device (100), particularly a mobile terminal, which is capable of establishing radio communications with a further radio device, particularly a base station of a communications network and/or a further mobile terminal. The inventive method is characterized by: providing a communication parameter database (110) local to said cognitive radio device (100), wherein said communication parameter database (110) comprises communication parameters related to geographic locations, determining a geographic location of said cognitive radio device (100), and by choosing one or more communication parameters for a future radio communication depending on said communication parameter database (110) and the determined location of the cognitive radio device (100).

  • Publication number: 20080220202
Abstract: A method is provided for producing a laminated substrate for mounting semiconductor chips. At least respective metal and plastic structure films having respective different recurrent contours are laminated together in such a way that a material strip is obtained. The lamination is followed by perforations or cuttings, and the method includes at least one of the following steps: A. the films are structured in such a way that superposition thereof makes it possible to obtain the areas which are devoid of overlap through the total width thereof; B. the films are not laminated through the total width of the laminate in partly recurrent areas; and C. recurrent segments of the recurrent contours are bent out of the surface of the laminated strip starting from the laminate.

  • Publication number: 20080122146
Abstract: A spring strut mounting for holding an upper end of a spring strut of a motor vehicle contains a spring strut dome with an articulation point for articulatedly connecting the upper end of the spring strut. The spring strut mounting further has a lower dome carrier which can be connected to a longitudinal member of the motor vehicle, and an upper dome carrier which can be connected to an A pillar of the motor vehicle, with the upper dome carrier engaging over the articulation point.

  • Patent number: 7128181
Abstract: In a seat console, weight sensors for measuring the weight of occupants are arranged, which are provided between a top frame and a bottom frame of the console. So that a floating bearing of the top frame in the bottom frame is ensured, the top frame and the bottom frame are held to be supported by the weight sensors. In order to avoid damage or a faulty measurement, the top frame dips into the bottom frame in an open manner.

  • Patent number: 4701376
Abstract: A profiled rubber strip seal for bordering window and door openings. To simplify installation, or to promote relative movement between the strip and windowpanes, such seals are provided with overlay strips of friction-reducing material, especially synthetic materials that contain fluorine. To provide favorable conditions for satisfactory bonding between the overlay strips and the main strip, and also to make it possible to use difficult to handle materials, the elastomeric mixture of the main strip is altered by including therein silicic acid.

  • Patent number: 4489580
Abstract: A flat workpiece such as a sheet metal workpiece is deformed by impacting e surface of the workpiece with one or several impacting tools while supporting at least a portion of the workpiece surface opposite the impacted surface. In order to control the deforming impact effect for achieving the intended shape of the workpiece, the impact strength of uniform drive impulses is modified in accordance with the desired shape. For this purpose the impacts are damped in accordance with a predetermined surface pattern of impact strengths corresponding to the desired shape. Such damping is accomplished by coating the workpiece surface prior to the impacting with a damping layer or layers having a different damping effect in different places on the surface of the workpiece in accordance with the mentioned pattern, whereby the uniform impact strength is modified in its effect in accordance with the pattern over the surface of the workpiece.

  • Patent number: 4203363
Abstract: A sheet gripper for a sheet-displacing apparatus such as a rotary printing machine has a pair of gripper elements whose faces are engageable with each other to grip the edge of a sheet being printed. At least one of the gripper elements is formed at its respective face of a relatively soft elastomeric material from whose surface extend hard fibers which are otherwise imbedded in the soft elastomeric material. The material may be a thermoplastic synthetic resin reinforced with glass fibers.
