Abstract: Disclosed is a display device oon a power saw (2) comprising a saw blade (3) as a tool, a handle (4) as an extension of the tool, and a grip (6) which is used for holding the power saw (2) and is disposed essentially perpendicular to the tool. The inventive display device is provided with a laser (8) having a laser beam that can be activated. The display device is arranged at the end of the tool, which is located opposite the tool and/or below the handle (4) in such a way that the laser beam on the power saw (2) is oriented at an angle (a) of more tha 0° and less than 90°, preferably less than 45°, relative to the tool axis (10) while the laser beam and/or the laser (8) is/are optionally directed to one side of the tool axis (10) or the other.
