  • Publication number: 20130190611
Abstract: In a method for determining a deviation of a medical instrument from a target position, in an image of an implant located in the body of a patient created with an imaging system, a virtual model of the implant is fitted at the correct location and thus a location of the implant is determined in the imaging system. On a basis of the location of the virtual model in the imaging system and a target position for an instrument selected as a fixed position relative to the virtual model, the location of the target position in the imaging system is determined. A video image of the instrument is created by a recording device and its current location in relation to the recording device is determined from this. By a geometrical relationship between the recording device and the imaging system, a deviation of the instrument from the target position is determined.

  • Publication number: 20130152394
Abstract: In a method for manufacturing a gearwheel, a gearwheel blank is clamped in a workholder of a multi-axis machine tool. A milling head is clamped in a tool holder which is rotated by a spindle drive to enable the milling head to mill out tooth spaces of the gearwheel blank to thereby create a gearwheel having teeth. After replacing the milling head in the tool holder with an inductor, the inductor is inserted successively between two adjacent teeth of the gearwheel and supplied with alternating current from a current supply device of the spindle drive to inductively heat at least one of the two adjacent teeth. The inductor in the tool holder is then replaced with a machining tool to remachine the teeth of the gearwheel.

  • Publication number: 20130158681
Abstract: A control device cyclically accepts each safety-oriented input signal from an industrial-technical process in a fail-safe manner, and transfers the safety-oriented input signals to a Cloud using a fail-safe protocol over a link to a computer network. The control device also accepts signals from the Cloud over the link to the computer network, using the fail-safe protocol for the industrial-technical process specific safety-oriented control signals, and decides based on additional information in a fail-safe manner whether it recognizes the safety-oriented control signals determined by the Cloud for the industrial-technical process as correct. Depending on the result of the decision, the device controls the industrial-technical process in accordance with the safety-oriented control signals in a fail-safe manner or places the industrial-technical process into a safe state in a fail-safe manner.
