Abstract: An improved coiled tubing injector head, comprising a plurality of powered chain loops, each having one practically straight side adjacent to the other chain loop(s) and biased against a tubing running in-between all the loops so as to grip the tubing and allow its transit into and out of a well. The chain loops are assembled from multifunctional links which both transmit drive and also form carriers for replaceable gripper blocks or are the carriers and gripper blocks combined, without need of a roller link chain or chains in addition to the multifunctional links. Three or more chain loops are provided, and the chain loops are driven by electric motors.

Abstract: A lubricator (10) includes a tubular body (12) through which passes a support member such as coil tubing or wireline, and an elongate slot (18) for inspection of or access to the support. A sleeve (20) mounted on the body (12) is movable between first and second positions to close or open the port (18). The sleeve (20) is movable by means of a pair of pistons and cylinders (22, 23, 24, 25). O-ring seals (28, 29) are provided on the body (12) above and below the slot (18).

Abstract: The invention relates to apparatus 10 for use in deploying slickline, wireline and the like. The apparatus 10 is truck mounted and comprises a slickline unit 12 mounted via a swivel on a truck bed 14, and a support arm 16 pivotally mounted on the unit. The arm 16 may be lifted from a horizontal transport position (FIG. 1) to a raised position (FIG. 2) by hydraulic rams, and is telescopic and may be extended to almost three times its retracted, transport length. In its extended configuration the arm 16 may support a pressure lubricator 18 and top and bottom pulleys 20, 22 from a support cable 17 which extends along the arm from a pulley 19 mounted on the lower end of the arm.
