    Abstract: An apparatus for automatically transferring workpieces which apparatus includes a longer arm of which one end is adapted to be reciprocally moved in the lengthwise direction of the apparatus while the other end is reciprocated in the normal direction, the one end carrying a carriage for workpieces and the other end being guided only in an end portion remote from the path of the one end by a guide, and a pair of shorter arms disposed on opposite sides of and half as long as the longer arm. One end of each shorter arm is pivotally mounted at the center of the length of the longer arm and the other end of each shorter arm is pivotally mounted at a position at the same level as the path of the one end of the longer arm. The shorter arms are adapted to swing through an arc of about 180.degree.
