The system determines airports or other commonly categorized entities, that are closest to the point of interest and displays a list of the entities that are closest to the point of interest. The graphical user interface configures a set of boundaries for a map display on the graphical user interface based on a configured number of entities to be displayed and presents the point of interest and the entities on the map. The graphical user interface displays a transit time for one or more modes of transportation from the point of interest to each of the entities to allow the user to assess the preferred entity.
