  • Publication number: 20230112203
Abstract: Devices for sequencing biopolymers and methods of using the devices are disclosed. In one example, such a device has a nanopore, a plurality of wells and fluidic tunnels to allow a biopolymer to translocate in the device. In some embodiments, the device may include integrated electronics or micro-electromechanical systems, such as valves, bubble generators/annihilators or pressure pulse generators, to actively control fluidic/ionic/electric flows in the device.

  • Publication number: 20220380844
Abstract: In one example, a method of preparing a fluidic channel includes covalently coupling a first region of a substrate to a first region of a cover using first moieties covalently coupled to the first region of the substrate and second moieties covalently coupled to the first region of the cover. The covalent coupling between the first region of the substrate and the first region of the cover suspends a second region of the cover over a second region of the substrate to form a fluidic channel.

  • Patent number: 10159419
Abstract: In an aspect of the disclosure, a stimulation device includes a probe attached to a first support. The probe includes at least one grating coupler for coupling light into the probe. The device further includes at least one optical source for providing an optical stimulation signal mounted on a second support, and at least one means for detachably attaching the first support to the second support. The position of the at least one optical source is aligned with the position of the at least one grating coupler to allow light emitted from the at least one optical source to be received by the at least one grating coupler.

  • Patent number: 9384990
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for decreasing the impedance of a titanium nitride element for use in an electrode component. The method comprises obtaining a titanium nitride element and hydrothermally treating the titanium nitride element by immersing the titanium nitride element in a liquid comprising water while heating said liquid.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 17, 2014
Date of Patent: July 5, 2016
    Assignee: IMEC VZW
