  • Patent number: 10597802
Abstract: In order to provide a weaving loom having incorporated knitting threads, it is provided that the corresponding device for incorporating knitting threads comprises a feeding device for each knitting thread and, also for each knitting thread, a dipping guide needle (4) which comprises a thread guiding eye and which can be dipped between warp threads (2, 3) into the shed all the way below the insertion path of the weft-insertion device (7). Each one of the dipping guide needles (4) is slidingly arranged transversely to the warp direction, thus being able to move across the width of the woven material. Furthermore, there is provided a combing shaft (10) that comprises a plurality of teeth with intermediate spaces arranged therebetween for guiding the knitting threads. The combing shaft (10) that is slidable transversely to the direction of the warp thread and is rotatable around an axis in the direction of the rail is arranged transversely to the direction of the warp thread behind the stop position of the reed.

  • Patent number: 7806149
Abstract: In order to make a small space requirement, a low energy requirement and therefore an increased weaving frequency possible in a shedding apparatus, a spring drive is proposed which is connected to magnetically acting holding means. The holding means are capable of holding the heddle frame in an upper shed position and in a lower shed position counter to the spring force. Furthermore, the heddle frame is connected to a linear motor. A heddle movement can be initiated by said linear motor. According to the invention, the spring drive is configured as a tension/compression spring which is designed in such a way that, during operation of the heddle frame at the resonant frequency of the spring drive the greater part of the kinetic energy can be obtained from the spring drive.

  • Patent number: 7806146
Abstract: In order to solve the problem of not having enough space available for a large number of components and keeping the deflection of the electric motor small in a device for controlling the transverse movement of the warp threads of a textile weaving machine, particularly a textile weaving machine with single strand movements, the invention proposes to operatively connect the strands via power transmission elements having different lengths in a staggered or register-like way to an electric motor and to provide the electric motors with a ratio in relation to the strands such that the movement of the electric motors brings about a greater movement of the strands.

  • Publication number: 20050204834
Abstract: The invention relates to a wireless thread controlling device for selectively controlling the movement of a thread (2) oscillating transversally in relation to the longitudinal direction thereof, especially a warp thread (2) of a shedding device pertaining to a mechanical weaving loom. The inventive thread controlling device is provided with at least one lifting device (22) which can be driven in an oscillating manner, and at least one driving mechanism (4) for the thread (2). Furthermore, at least one locking device (28) is provided—said locking device comprising a control means (30) which can be actuated by an actuator (34)—in order to selectively engage the driving mechanism (4) with the lifting device (22). In order to increase performance and service life, and to reduce noise emission, the thread controlling device comprises a damper (40) which connects the individual parts (4a,4b) of the two-part driving mechanism.

  • Patent number: 5956978
Abstract: A knitting machine, in particular a warp knitting machine with a central control apparatus (120) containing a computer with an input device (122) for the establishing of the characteristic data of the knitted article (20) to be produced and with a central control unit (124) which is connected over a line (126) with individual drives (16, 28, 33, 35, 63a, 63b, 63c, 63d) for aggregates (15, 22, 32 34, 44a, 44b, 44c, 44d) of the knitting machine. The knitting machine has a main drive (16) for at least one needle bar of a row of needles and a central control unit (120) with an input device (122) to establish the characteristics of the knitwear to be produced. In order to improve the control, each drive (16, 28, 33, 35, 63a, 63b, 63c, 63d) of individual components (15, 22, 32, 34, 44a, 44b, 44c, 44d) has an individual intelligent control unit (163, 283 33.sub.3, 35.sub.3, 63a.sub.3, 63c.sub.3, 63d.sub.3) to assume and process the relevant program module of the control device (120).

  • Patent number: 5768916
Abstract: A warp knitting machine with at least one knitting needle bar and with at least one guide bar (46) lapping in lengthwise direction with thread guides for the feeding of threads. Incorporated into the guide bar is at least one auxiliary guide bar (72) lapping back and forth in the lengthwise direction of the guide bar with at least one auxiliary thread guide (76), which are driven relatively to one another. This allows for the arrangement of an auxiliary thread guide in an especially simple and space-saving manner.

  • Patent number: 5370325
Abstract: A process and apparatus for the winding of a thread onto a reel.A thread is guided by a thread guide fastened to a cord. The cord is driven by a drive part, which, under the action of a transfer roller engaging in a slot, executes a harmonic oscillation. A transfer roller is attached to a disc-shaped bearing part, driven by means of a driving wheel, and can, for changing the amplitude of the harmonic oscillation, be displaced in the radial direction by utilizing an electric motor.

  • Patent number: 5163631
Abstract: In a method and apparatus for controlling a contact pressure which a bobbin being wound with a thread exerts on a roller, the contact pressure is controlled by an adjusting device. The roller is mounted on a balance beam. The divergence of the balance beam from a desired position thereof is determined by a sensor and is converted in a controller into a correction movement of the adjusting device. The adjusting device includes a worn gear with a spindle nut and a spindle driven by a motor which is controlled by the controller. By means of the controller constructed as a control loop, it is possible to very precisely maintain the bearing pressure throughout the winding process independently of the specific weight of the bobbin.
