Abstract: The present invention relates to a clothes drying machine, or combined clothes washing and drying machine, comprising a drum (1) holding the clothes to be dried, a conduit (2, 10) adapted to convey a flow of drying air into said drum and out thereof, a fan (5) adapted to blow a first flow of drying air through said said conduit, a heatin element (4) adapted to heat up the air in said conduit at a location upstream of said drum, a motor (7) adapted to selectively drive said drum rotatably. In the machine there is provided a means (9) for producing atomised moisture, said means being adapted to release a flow of said atomised moisture into said conduit according to selected times and modes.

Abstract: Laundry drying machine comprising a rotating drum, an electric motor with an output shaft, a leading belt engaged on the perimeter of said drum, a leading pulley able to pass the rotation motion to said leading belt, two separate fans keyed on the opposite heads of said output shaft, and provided with means for the detection and the speed control of said electric motor, which means comprising: a rotating auxiliary shaft and a rotating speed sensor mounted on a open head of said auxiliary shaft, a driving pulley keyed on said motor shaft, an auxiliary pulley keyed on said auxiliary rotating shaft, a driving belt connecting said driving pulley to said to said auxiliary pulley, and a leading pulley keyed on said auxiliary shaft.

Abstract: Centrifugal pump, in particular drain pump for washing machines, comprising a casing (10) that defines a chamber (11) within which an impeller formed by a hub (14) and a disk (15) provided with blades (16) is capable of rotating. The impeller is provided with at least a slit (20) adapted to generate a negative pressure on the rear surface of the disk (15) during the rotation of said impeller. The solution is very simple and rational; it enables a clogging of the impeller, as it may be caused by the presence of foreign matters and bodies in the washing liquor, to be avoided. It also enables axial thrusts, as they occur during the rotation of the impeller, to be compensated for.

Abstract: The present invention refers to a washing aid dispenser for a washing machine. The dispenser (2, 102) comprises at least a compartment (3, 103), which is adapted to contain the washing aids and is provided with a first siphon (8, 108) having a pre-determined suction height (h) and at least a second siphon (14, 114) having a higher suction height (H) than said first siphon (8, 108). The first and second siphon (8, 14, 108, 114) are adapted to draw in and convey towards the washing tub of the machine layers of the washing aids mixed with water lying at different heights in the dispenser (2, 102).

Abstract: A monitoring arrangement for the filter of a washing machine is disclosed wherein the user is warned of the clogged filter when an actual clogging condition occurs. Control elements that are normally used in washing machines, such as an analog pressure switch (13) and an electronic control circuit (14), are utilized. The control parameter for detecting clogging is the variation of the water pressure before and after the priming of the drain pump (12) or the recirculator pump (17) of the machine.

Abstract: A clothes washing machine is provided with a wash tub and a perforated drum arranged therein. A recirculating pump pumps liquid contained in a conduit provided with a pressure switch in its lower portion, arranged under the tub, and directed again toward the interior of the drum. The machine is capable, at least in a rinse cycle, of filling a predetermined amount of water into the tub, to let the recirculating pump operate for a definite period of time so as to enable the water to be fully pumped into the drum. At the same time, the drum is caused to rotate at a low speed. A signal starting spin-extraction for a pre-defined period of time enables a lower water level to be restored in the tub. The initially filled-in water is let into the tub in such an amount that the upper edge of the liquid in the tub eventually remains constantly below the lower edge of the drum, such an alternate sequence of recirculation and spin-extraction phases being repeated several times.

Abstract: A clothes washing machine includes a washing tub, a drum rotatably arranged within the tub and adapted to hold the washload, and a liquor recovery reservoir, separable from the structure of the machine. A liquor transfer conduit connects the lower portion of the washing tub with the inner volume of the reservoir, preferably through a first pump situated in the conduit. A second conduit connects the inner volume of the reservoir with the inner volume of the washing tub through a second pump. As a part of a rinsing phase, the machine is adapted to the rinsing liquor from the tub to the reservoir, spin the washload holding drum at a high revolution speed, empty the tub by draining the liquor extracted from the washload during the high-speed spinning of the drum or subsequently thereto, and transfer the liquor contained in the reservoir back into the tub.

Abstract: A clothes washing machine is provided with a tank (2) for the recovery of liquids and a transfer conduit (3) which, by way of a first pump (4) disposed in the conduit, connects the lower portion of the tub (1) to the tank. The lower volume of the tank is connected by way of a suitable conduit (6) and a second pump (7) to a nozzle (8) that discharges into the hydraulic circuit (9) that feeds containers (10) for substances for the washing operation. The machine has one or more of the following properties. The feed pump (7) for the hydraulic distributor (9) and the feed pump (12) for the condenser (11) are replaced by a single pump (17) and by a two-way directional control valve (18) which alternatively feeds respective conduits that feed into the hydraulic distributor and into the condenser. The discharge pump (20) and the transfer pump (4) are replaced by a single pump followed by a further directional control valve (21) which alternatively feeds the transfer conduit or the discharge.

Abstract: A steam condensation device is provided in a dryer or combination washer/dryer for condensing hot water vapor carried by hot air used to dry laundry in the dryer or combination washer/dryer. The steam condensation device includes a vertically extending tubular casing, at least one condenser conduit extending vertically within and spaced from the casing so as to define an annular space therebetween, and a spiral wall disposed between respective internal and external surfaces of the at least one condenser conduit and the casing. The spiral wall extends spirally toward the lower end of the at least one condenser conduit so as to define a spiral conveying path alongside the external surface of the at least one condenser conduit. The condensation device is arranged so that hot air circulating through the interior of the rotating basket containing laundry in the machine passes through the interior of the at least one condensor conduit.

Abstract: The invention relates to an automatic laundry washer of the type having a laundering tub in which a drum is rotated by an electric motor at a low speed during a laundering phase, and at a high speed during at least one certrifuging period. For ensuring a complete discharge of foam and lye in the course of a centrifuging period, a pressure switch is adapted to interrupt the rotation of the drum during the centrifuging period and to disconnect the power supply to the program control unit in response to the level within the laundering tub exceeding a predetermined value.
