  • Patent number: 12234561
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for the cleaning and/or anti-corrosion pretreatment of a plurality of components in series, in which the components of the series are at least partially composed of zinc-coated (ZM) steel. After a cleaning stage and before further cleaning and/or anti-corrosion pretreatment, the components pass through a treatment stage for improving the wettability of the zinc-coated (ZM) steel surfaces in which at least the surfaces of the zinc-coated (ZM) steel of the components are brought into contact with an aqueous medium which contains at least one builder which is a salt of a Lewis acid-base pair in which the Lewis acid is selected from Li+, Na+, K+, Ca2+, Mg2+ or Al3+, and the Lewis base is selected from anions of a polyprotic Brønsted acid.

  • Publication number: 20140178873
Abstract: The present invention provides a method of detecting a hydroxymethyl (hm) cytosine (C) in a nucleic acid molecule preparation; comprising: (a) providing a single-stranded (ss) nucleic acid molecule; (b) synthesizing at least one copy of at least a portion of the complementary strand of said ss nucleic acid molecule thereby generating a double-stranded (ds) nucleic acid molecule, wherein said synthesis is carried out in the presence of hydroxymethylcytosine or analog thereof (e.g., protected hydroxyl group); and (c) reacting the product obtained in (b) (all or purified) with an endonuclease being capable of cleaving said ds nucleic acid molecule, wherein cleavage by said endonuclease requires a recognition site that contains hmC on opposite strands; and (d) analyzing the product obtained in step (c).

  • Publication number: 20140000915
Abstract: An extinguishing container having a closable filling opening for liquid extinguishing agent is provided. The extinguishing container is deformable in an unfilled storage state and dimensional stability in an operating state in which the extinguishing container is filled with extinguishing agent, wherein the deformability decreases with an increasing filling degree, and by a compartment for accommodating blasting agent. The compartment is arranged in the container interior at least in the operating state and comprises a closable opening on or outside of the outer surface of the extinguishing container. A method for providing serviceable extinguishing containers for aerial firefighting, characterized by the transformation of one or more extinguishing containers according to the invention from the storage state thereof to the operating state in the first step, as well as the placement of a blasting agent in the compartment and the attachment of an igniter for the blasting agent is also provided.
