  • Publication number: 20060130919
Abstract: In a device for attenuating pressure oscillations in a hydraulic line, wherein an actuator for generating pressure pulses in the hydraulic line is arranged between a pressure source and a consumer, a control apparatus is provided for activating the actuator in such a way that it generates pressure pulses which are at least approximately in antiphase to pressure oscillations detected in the hydraulic line, which pressure oscillations are detected by a sensor in the hydraulic line or determined by the control apparatus depending on parameters of the pressure source for controlling the pressure pulses applied to the hydraulic line.

  • Patent number: 6716297
Abstract: The invention relates to methods and apparatuses for separating components adhesively bonded to one another wherein transmitters for mechanical vibrations, in particular for ultrasound, and/or for electromagnetic radiation, in particular laser light, are placed in the region of an adhesive join between the components. An adhesive bond in the adhesive join is acted upon by the vibrations or radiation, and the adhesive and optionally one of the components joined therewith are excited, as a result of which the adhesive effect of the adhesive bond is at least reduced. Alternatively or in addition thereto, transmitters can also be permanently placed in the region of the adhesive join at the time the components are adhesively bonded.

  • Patent number: 6672434
Abstract: A method and a device for influencing the transfer of vibrations of a vibration generator to an object connected to it, in particular of engine vibrations to the body of a motor vehicle. At least one piezo element is arranged as an actuator in the region of an intermediate element connecting the vibration generator to the object. Primary vibrations are transferred between the vibration generator and the object via the intermediate element. The actuator is induced in a controlled manner to undergo secondary vibrations. The total energy and/or the composition of the frequencies of the vibrations transferred via the intermediate element are changed by the actuator, and the remaining residual vibration is measured and used for controlling the secondary vibrations.

  • Patent number: 6484845
Abstract: A method and a system for influencing possible structure-borne sound conductions and possible noise radiations of objects which have at least two at least indirectly mutually adjoining and mutually connected components. A spacer body is arranged in the area of the at least indirect mutual adjoining “contact area”. As the result of the spacer body, which can be controllably influenced in its geometry, one of the two mutually connected components and the components which, with respect to the conduction of the structure-borne sound have different acoustic impedances can be excited in a simple manner to carry out vibrations.

  • Patent number: 6394655
Abstract: A method and a shaft bearing for influencing machine background noise emitted by at least by one rotating part of the machine, especially for influencing the background noise within a passenger compartment of a motor vehicle. The amplitudes and/or the frequencies of primary vibrations which cause the background noise are preferably lessened and/or supplemented by controlled external interventions. The mounting conditions between the shaft bearing and a rotating part held in the machine shaft bearing, especially a shaft, is varied by a radial adjustment unit having piezo elements. The transfer function of the vibrations, especially the vibrations producing the sound waves, present between the rotating part and the shaft bearing or a component in contact with the shaft bearing, is varied.

  • Patent number: 6283636
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for changing the clamping conditions of a rotatable part, which is rotatably disposed in the shaft bearing, and in the case of which the axis of rotation of the rotatable part is arranged axially identically with the axis of rotation of the shaft bearing. For changing a sound effect emanating from the rotatable part, the axial and radial clamping conditions between the shaft bearing and a rotatable part rotatably held in the shaft bearing, particularly of a shaft, of the engine, are changed in a controllable manner. Likewise, the transmission function of the vibrations, particularly of vibrations generating sound waves, existing between the rotatable part and the shaft bearing or a component contacting the shaft bearing is changed.

  • Patent number: 6283637
Abstract: A method and apparatus for detuning the natural frequency of a rotatable part, which is rotatably disposed in the shaft bearing, and in the case of which the axis of rotation of the rotatable part is arranged axially identically with the axis of rotation of the shaft bearing, as well as to a correspondingly tunable rotatable part. For compensating an axial play and/or a disturbing sound effect, the clamping conditions are changed by a reversible change of the axial course and/or of the axial contact pressure of an axial adjusting unit onto the rotatable part, the axial adjusting unit being manufactured of a piezoelectrically active material.

The shaft bearing has a radial adjusting unit in which the clamping conditions of the rotatable part can be changed in the shaft bearing.
