  • Patent number: 4559794
Abstract: The fleshing machine according to the invention comprises a supporting frame, which bears two parallel blade cylinders, and on which two sliding heads provided with bearing, pressing and drawing rollers are mounted. The heads press the skin between the rollers and draw it under the action first of one and then of the other blade cylinder for the complete fleshing of the skin, in two stages beginning from the middle while keeping the skin pressed during the entire processing cycle.

  • Patent number: 4549416
Abstract: The annular endless band blade splitting machine according to the invention is provided with an upper bridge having an adjustable curvature calibrating roller and with a variable cutting thickness with adjustment possible either when the machine is stopped or during the process by means of a plurality of hydraulic jacks actuated by mechanical and hydraulic servocontrol devices, which jacks support a plurality of compensating rollers leaning against the calibrating roller.

  • Patent number: 4444028
Abstract: The machine for splitting skins through their thickness to obtain two sheets, of which one is a flower sheet on the hairy side and the other a crust sheet on the flesh side, comprises the already known elements of annular endless band blade tensioned between continuously running wheels and upper and lower feed rollers, with the characteristic that the edge of the cutting blade at the cutting location always remains fixed in the same transverse position, except for takeup of wear due to cutting and sharpening, whereas the upper and lower feed rollers are displaced in the direction perpendicular to the blade and in the direction parallel to same, in order to adopt the correct positions for obtaining the desired thicknesses of said two parts of the skin, respecting the optimum conditions for removing the parts themselves from the cutting complex.

  • Patent number: 4267714
Abstract: A hydraulic device for producing a to-and-fro movement of a lever connected to a double-acting piston/cylinder unit comprises a pressure fluid distributor including a control piston for alternately feeding pressure fluid to one or the other side of the piston in the unit to move the lever alternately in opposite directions. A hydraulically actuatable control device for controlling the distributor includes a reciprocable piston member movable in a cylinder and a motion transmitting member in contact with the control piston of the distributor to transmit motion thereto. The piston member has a central large diameter section between two reduced diameter sections and the motion transmitting member is in contact with the surface of the piston member so as to reciprocate transversely in the cylinder when the piston member moves relative to the motion transmitting member between two end positions.

  • Patent number: 4253318
Abstract: The present invention concerns a machine for clipping or trimming hides or skins of the type comprising cylinders with blades or the like for the calibration of hides, leather or the like skins, said machine being provided with devices of substantially electromechanical type for permitting continuous and automatic compensation of the wear on the blades during the process as well as for the necessary increases of thickness in the end portions of the hides under preparation, ensuring uniform calibration of the hides in conformity with the predetermined initial thickness values.

  • Patent number: 4244201
Abstract: A fluid pressure actuated device for use with material splitting machines of the type described, the device comprising a cylinder, a double acting piston movable in the cylinder by pressurized fluid, the piston being operatively connectable to the pressure roller of the machine for, in use, effecting withdrawal of the pressure roller from a cutting plane in response to movement of the piston from a first extreme position towards a second extreme position, said cylinder having first and second ports communicating with opposite ends of the piston and arranged so that in use pressurized fluid applied to the first port while the second port is connected to exhaust will cause the piston to move from said first extreme position to said second extreme position so as to effect maximum withdrawal of the pressure roller to permit cleaning of the scrapers and the cutting region, and a third port between the first and second ports and arranged so that in use pressurized fluid applied to the first port while the third por

  • Patent number: 4173904
Abstract: In an apparatus wherein an endless band is trained over a stationary guide roll and a stretching roll, and a nut-and-spindle mechanism at the ends of the stretching roll can displace the stretching roll in a plane defined by the axes of the rolls when the band is centered on the rolls, the band is automatically centered by two hydraulic double-acting cylinder-piston units. The first unit displaces either end of the stretching roll in the plane and the second unit simultaneously displaces one end in a plane perpendicular thereto. This displacement is effected in response to a control signal from a sensor adjacent each side edge of the band and tripped when the side edge moves into contact therewith as the band moves out of its centered position. The control signal operates a three-way solenoid valve in a hydraulic control circuit for the cylinder-piston units.

  • Patent number: 4100773
Abstract: A press comprises two cooperating endless belts each trained over a support and tensioning roller. The end supports of the support roller for the lower belt rest on a hydraulically actuated piston which enables this support roller to be displaced towards the other support roller. Two pairs of like bracing members hold the end supports of the support rollers, the bracing members of each pair having one end pivoted to a respective hydraulic cylinder for the pistons and the end supports of the other support roller being detachably fixed to the other bracing member ends. Each pair of bracing members defines a guide for the displacement of the end supports of the support roller for the lower belt. One of the end supports of each support roller is pivotally mounted for pivoting the support rollers in a plane defined by the axes of the support rollers.
