  • Publication number: 20240302195
Abstract: A flow meter run offers autonomous operation whilst improving measurement performance & confidence, increased safety and improving the total cost of ownership. A plurality of isolation valve assemblies each offer DBB (Double Block & Bleed) isolation to isolate a component or meter run section. This DBB isolation includes components being extracted from the main metering line. The meter run philosophy is detailed with use of a novel rotational orifice meter, though other flow meters may be substituted. The flow meter run also features extractable filters, a rotational and extractable flow conditioner which includes open and blind isolation components. The rotational orifice meter can house several independent orifice plates or nozzles and extractable sample probes and temperature elements. Further instrument sensors include the direct (non-inferred) measurement of density and/or viscosity. The system is configured for multiple sensors to monitor performance, autonomy, validation and isolation.

  • Patent number: 6668223
Abstract: A crop width measuring assembly is mounted to a harvesting assembly of an agricultural machine for measuring the actual width of the crop swath received by the harvesting assembly. The crop width measuring assembly comprises a plurality of crop presence sensors distributed along the width of the harvesting assembly. The crop width measuring assembly is in communication with a processor for monitoring different crop parameters in relation to their geographic location in a field.

  • Patent number: 6150617
Abstract: An agricultural vehicle is provided with means for continuously sensing the weight of an accumulated payload and a GPS navigation system (18). Weight and positional information, and optionally also sensed vehicle speed, are analysed in an analysis/display unit (14) and a map generated of e.g. weight/hectare. The principal application is an agricultural trailer with payload weight sensors (15), towed by a tractor with GPS and analysis systems. A map of yield of e.g. a root crop may be generated as the crop is harvested and continuously deposited into the trailer as it moves along.
