  • Patent number: 6872731
Abstract: A class of 3-phenylimidazo[1,2-a]pyridine derivatives, substituted at the meta position of the phenyl ring by an optionally substituted aryl or heteroaryl group which is directly attached or bridged by an oxygen atom or a —NH-linkage, are selective ligands for GABAA receptors, in particular having high affinity for the ?2 and/or ?3 subunit thereof, and are accordingly of benefit in the treatment and/or prevention of disorders of the central nervous system, including anxiety and convulsions.

  • Patent number: 6865921
Abstract: A material bender for bending a stock material into a desired shape. The material bender has a base plate on which is mounted a die holder that holds a die shaped to provide the desired bend shape, a ram guide configured to provide a ram path for guiding a bending ram that pushes against the stock material, and various upwardly projecting pins configured to support the material as it is bent by the bending ram. In one configuration, the bending ram pushes against the stock material to cause it to bend against the die. In another configuration, the bending ram pushes against the stock material to cause it to bend against one or more of the upwardly projecting pins. The base plate is configured to be mounted on a mounting plate of a mounting apparatus that includes a support frame configured to attach to the hitch of a vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20040215585
Abstract: A data processor which comprises a line of unit cells of alternating type, each capable of adopting two distinguishable states. The states of the cells of each respective type can be transformed (e.g. switched from one state to the other) by respective stimulae (which act on all cells of that type simultaneously) in dependence upon whether the cells two nearest neighbours in the line are both in mutually the same state or in mutually different states. Binary data bits are each represented by a pattern of states of four adjacent cells, and data is loaded onto the cells so that each bit is spaced by four cells from an adjacent bit. Logical operations can be performed on the data by loading a control unit (a particular pattern of states of six adjacent cells) and then applying the stimulae to transform the states of the cells. The processor can be implemented on a conventional computer by implementing the cells as Boolean variables in an array with the stimulae being update rules applied to the array.

  • Patent number: 6784212
Abstract: A process for producing liquid hydrocarbon products includes converting a natural gas feedstock to synthesis gas, which is reacted, in a hydrocarbon synthesis stage and by a Fischer-Tropsch reaction, to produce a range of hydrocarbon product. An overheads vapour phase is separated from a liquid phase, and fed to a product condensation stage, where condensation of some components thereof takes place. A vapour phase, an aqueous phase, and a condensed product phase are withdrawn. The vapour phase is fed to a vapour phase work-up stage where a gas component comprising increased concentrations of CO and H2, relative to the vapour phase feed to the vapour phase work-up stage, is recovered, with this gas component being recycled to the hydrocarbon synthesis stage.

  • Publication number: 20040153593
Abstract: In a data processing system using multiple operating systems, an interrupt which itself may be interrupted by a subsequent interrupt which will be serviced in a different operating system, guards itself against being overlooked when that subsequent interrupt has been handled by starting a stub interrupt handling routine in that other operating system before executing the main handling routine in the originating operating system. Thus, the stub interrupt handling routine will be recognised in the other operating system irrespective of other interrupt events which may occur and accordingly the interrupted interrupt handling may be restarted.

  • Publication number: 20040153807
Abstract: In a system supporting more than one operating system, a data processing thread executing on a first operating system may be subject to an interrupt which triggers interrupt handling on a second operating system. When that interrupt handling is completed on the second operating system, the first operating system is resumed using a return interrupt. The return interrupt specifies the data processing thread which is active on the second operating system such that an appropriate task switch or resumption may be made on the first operating system. The technique is particularly well suited to systems utilising a secure operating system and a non-secure operating system executing on the same hardware.
