Publication number: 20180231312Abstract: There is disclosed a vertical vibratory thermal treatment system, comprising a heating section for thermally treating material, a retort section that is located within or connected to the heating section and includes at least one elevator system for vertically moving the material to the heating section. The disclosed elevator system is isolated from other parts of the thermal treatment section by an enclosure thereby allowing for flexibility and simplicity in the design of the retort section. There is also disclosed a method of treating materials, including hazardous or radioactive materials, such as a powder, sand, granule, gravel, agglomerate or other form of particle or combinations thereof, using the system described herein.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 14, 2018Publication date: August 16, 2018Applicant: GeoRoc International, Inc.Inventors: Salvatore MORICCA, Simon Chung, Bruno Salvatore Angelico, Eric Stephens, Martin William Alexander Stewart

Publication number: 20080297585Abstract: Discloses a system for Internet based audio video communications where a user participation in a communications session including a video component includes functionality to enable the participant to provide a video feed that is based on a user selection of a real time video capture or a still capture image. The system provides a toggle control to enable a participant to select between a video capture mode and a still image mode before or during the communications session.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 29, 2007Publication date: December 4, 2008Applicant: ASCALADE COMMUNICATIONS INC.Inventors: Simon CHUNG, Raymond CHOW

Publication number: 20080212751Abstract: Discloses a system and method for display of live content on a telephone handset with an input keypad and a graphical display. The live content is gathered from a one source of live content information and a configuration agent receives user live content selection input from a computer or the handset and stores the selection a profile data base. A display agent interoperates with the profile database to obtain information from the user selected source of live content information and displays at least a portion of the information obtained on the telephone handset display. In a preferred manner of operation, a crawler connects to and receives information from an information provider and the received information is stored in an information cache. A display agent periodically dispatches information from the information cache to the handset display as selected by the user.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 24, 2008Publication date: September 4, 2008Applicant: ASCALADE COMMUNICATIONS INC.Inventor: Simon CHUNG

Patent number: 5960212Abstract: A coprocessing core is provided with a unique architecture wherein the register block of the coprocessor is divided into a plurality of sub-blocks containing registers. In indirect addressing of the register block, the value loaded into a base pointer points to a particular one of the plurality of sub-blocks and activates the registers therein for read-write access. Changing of the base pointer value using only a single instruction brings another set of registers in a sub-block into activation. Unless relatively accessed, read only access is available to the registers in the register block. This architecture advantageously facilitates single instruction context switching, non-stacked machine operation and low latency interrupt handling. The architecture, as well as the programmability of the coprocessing core, further facilitates use of the device in a universal input/output controller application for connection between a host processor and plurality of different types and kinds of peripheral devices.Type: GrantFiled: April 3, 1996Date of Patent: September 28, 1999Assignee: Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson (publ)Inventor: Simon Chung-Tong Mak
