  • Patent number: 11072281
Abstract: A camera system (1) for a commercial vehicle has at least one image capture unit (3) for capturing an image, an image reproduction unit (8) for reproducing the captured image at least one functional unit (4.1, 4.2) for performing a vehicle function and at least one control unit (2) for outputting a control signal. The camera system (1) transmits a video signal between the control unit (2) and the image reproduction unit (8) and controls the image capture unit (3) and the functional unit (4.1, 4.2) by a control signal outputted from the control unit (2). The functional interface (6.1) is provided between the image capture unit (3) and the functional unit (4.1, 4.2), via which functional interface (6.1), image capture unit (3) and the functional unit (4.1, 4.2) are coupleable with each other and decoupleable from each other.

  • Patent number: 10363793
Abstract: A novel housing for an electronic device is located in the passenger compartment of a vehicle. The housing is used to maintain the temperature of the electronic device within its operating temperature range. The housing includes air inlets and outlets through which the temperature-regulated air current from the air conditioning system of the vehicle passes. The temperature-regulated air currents from the air conditioning system that are used to maintain a comfortable temperature in the passenger compartment are also used to regulate the temperature of the electronic device. Thus, the housing allows the temperature of the electronic device to be regulated exclusively using the air current from the air conditioning system. The air duct from the air conditioning system can be connected directly to the housing or can end a distance from the housing so that the air current from the duct is directed to strike the outside of the housing.

  • Patent number: 10160401
Abstract: A device for monitoring vehicles surroundings includes a sensor, a sensor holder and a fastener. Due to manufacturing tolerances, the sensor axis that passes through the head of the sensor deviates from the axis of the sensor main body. The sensor head passes into an opening in the sensor holder centered around a sensor holding axis. When the sensor is mounted into a receiver niche in the sensor holder, the sensor holding axis and the sensor axis are aligned. The fastener fastens the sensor to the sensor holder and compensates for the sensor axis deviating from the main body axis. Screws pass through bore holes in the fastener and into screw holes in the sensor holder. The bore holes have a larger diameter than do the screw holes, allowing the sensor axis to be aligned with the sensor holding axis despite the sensor axis deviating from the main body axis.

  • Patent number: 9049804
Abstract: A monitor has a rear panel formed by injection molding plastic around a metal cooling element. The monitor includes a display panel, control electronics, a module support, and a monitor housing. The housing includes a front frame, the cooling element and a rear panel frame. The cooling element has cooling ducts formed between cooling fins. The rear housing panel frame has fin extensions that extend the fins of the cooling element into the rear housing panel frame. The display panel attaches to one side of the module support, while the control electronics attach to the other side. The front frame and the rear panel frame screw together, and the display panel and control electronics are clamped between the front frame and the rear panel frame. The monitor can be attached to a vehicle by slipping a retaining member into a T-shaped duct formed between two fins on the cooling element.
