Abstract: A patient support includes: a resilient support layer for supporting a patient, the resilient support layer having an upper surface and a lower surface opposite the upper surface, the upper surface being configured to, in use, face toward the patient supported by the resilient support layer; and an inflatable bladder disposed underneath at least part of the lower surface of the resilient support layer such that, in use, the resilient support layer is disposed be-V CM tween the patient and the inflatable bladder, the inflatable bladder being configured to be fluidly connected to a pump in order to be selectively inflated by the pump and thereby limit an immersion of the patient into the resilient support layer. A method for controlling a patient support is also disclosed.

Abstract: A microclimate management system for an occupant support is provided with a top layer, an intermediate air diffusion layer operatively interposable between the top layer and the occupant support, and a bottom air distribution manifold extending through the occupant support for distributing air to the intermediate air diffusion layer. There is also provided a microclimate management overlay for an occupant support having a bottom air distribution assembly mountable over the occupant support and configured for circulating air upwardly, an intermediate air diffusion layer operatively mountable above the bottom air distribution assembly for enabling air diffusion from the bottom air distribution assembly, and a top layer mountable above the intermediate air diffusion layer. There is also provided a foam support having a base foam and a seat foam insert that enables pressure redistribution to the base foam. An air pump module is also provided.

Abstract: A boat windshield sub-frame assembly comprising a sub-frame and a glass mounted in the sub-frame, the glass being releasably mounted to the sub-frame using a releasable mechanical mounting between the glass and the sub-frame. The releasable mechanical mounting may comprise a screw and a quarter-turn, a rivet, a magnetic or Velcro™ arrangement, a pin and anchor or a snap-clip fastener, for example. A fastener may be bonded to the glass, and the sub-frame may comprise a bore or other opening to receive a fastener from the glass. However, the glass and sub-frame are not bonded together. The glass is rather releasably fastened to the sub-frame to make it replaceable.

Abstract: A boat windshield frame system comprising a frame having opposed lips forming a gap in between. At least one intermediate holding portion comprises a pair of outward members to engage with the opposed lips in the gap of the frame for securing the at least one intermediate holding portion to the frame by clipping or by sliding. The at least one intermediate holding portion further comprising a pair of arms forming a grip to secure a decorative molding comprising an outer wall and an elongated member opposite the outer wall for connection to the at least one intermediate holding portion, the elongated member being shaped complementary to an inside of the grip of the intermediate holding portion. The decorative molding may be made of extruded aluminum and clipped onto the frame using the intermediate holding portion which can be provided as a plurality of interspaced segments.

Abstract: A siderail for a bed for a patient. The bed extends longitudinally along a longitudinal axis between a head or rear end and a foot or front end and extending transversely along a transversal axis between a left side and right side, the bed comprising a patient support assembly comprising a patient surface for supporting the patient, and a frame, the patient support assembly being mounted to the frame. The siderail comprises an inner wall for facing the patient surface, an outer wall opposite the inner wall, a bottom edge, and a top edge. The siderail also comprises an inner projection extending upwardly and being spaced from the inner wall, the inner projection comprising an inner surface facing the inner wall, wherein a hollow space to receive an electronic device is defined between the inner surface of the inner projection and a portion of the inner wall.

The hinge comprising a shaft extending longitudinally, further comprising a blocker which is extendable about the shaft. A first socketed member is fixed to the shaft, and a second socketed member comprises a lumen for sliding the shaft therein. The lumen comprises a cavity larger than a remainder of the lumen and which defines an inward edge on which the blocker abuts, thereby retaining the shaft in the lumen. The shaft comprises an inner recess which can house the blocker therein if the inner recess is aligned with the blocker, thereby retracting the blocker from the cavity and releasing the shaft from the second socketed member and allowing the first socketed member and the second socketed member to be separated. This can be useful for detaching a door of a boat windshield, for example.

The side walls comprise at least one connexion element providing at least one angled surface within the housing. The side walls further comprise knocks generally at the level of the junction box within the housing.
