Abstract: A cosmetic applicator connectable to a stem. The applicator is configured to have a connector, a middle section, and a distal section. The distal section is juxtaposed to a distal side of the middle section such that the proximal edge of the distal section is offset radially inward from the distal edge the middle section, wherein the distal edge of the middle section and the proximal edge of the distal section are oblique with respect to the centerline of the applicator. The distal section includes a glue layer and fibers adhered to the glue layer, wherein a proximal lead edge of the glue layer is offset radially inward of the middle section. The offset lead edge of the glue layer lessens deflocking the fibers by avoiding contact with wipers when the applicator is withdrawn from a bottle.

Abstract: In an embodiment, an applicator for cosmetics comprises: a generally cylindrical body having a proximal end and a distal end; a first concave application zone on a side of the cylindrical body between the proximal end and the distal end; a second convex application zone on an opposite side of the first application zone, wherein the second application zone extends between the proximal end and the distal end, and transitions into a tip at the distal end; and the tip of the applicator is formed between the first application zone and the second application zone, wherein the tip extending along the outer diameter of the cylindrical body on the side of the first application zone, the tip extending along a length of the cylindrical body being distal from the first application zone.

A container includes an agitator element disposed in a guide inside the container, as well as an applicator for carrying and applying the composition to a surface. The agitator element is movably disposed within the guide, such that during agitation of the container, the agitator element controllably moves along the guide, through the composition, to mix the composition and increase uniformity of the composition for use. The guide prevents contact of the agitator element with the applicator to prevent damage to the applicator or flocking during agitation. The container is suited for use with cosmetic compositions that can be mixed for use.
