  • Publication number: 20260146974
Abstract: An ultrasound probe includes an ultrasound transducer stack comprising one or more ultrasound transducers emitting an acoustic signal, and an acoustic window passing the acoustic signal. The acoustic window is composed of a butadiene-based compound. In one or more embodiments, the acoustic window is made of butadiene rubber. Butadiene rubber has acoustic characteristics that may be suitable for acoustic windows, as subsequently discussed. Specifically, the use of butadiene rubber may result in desirable acoustic attenuation, acoustic velocity and acoustic impedance.

  • Publication number: 20250302440
Abstract: An ultrasound probe includes an ultrasound transducer stack, an acoustic lens, and an acoustic coupling layer between the acoustic lens and the ultrasound transducer stack. The transducer stack includes one or more ultrasound transducers emitting an acoustic signal and the acoustic lens focuses the acoustic signal. The acoustic coupling layer has a speed of sound that is higher than a speed of sound in the acoustic lens, and the acoustic coupling layer has a thickness between a quarter and half a wavelength of the acoustic signal.

  • Patent number: 11779304
Abstract: An ultrasound imaging device includes an ultrasound transducer module disposed within a housing and a flowable acoustic damping material disposed on at least one surface located within an interior of the housing. The flowable acoustic damping material may be a Teflon™-containing gel material, in contact with at least one internal surface of the imaging device to provide acoustic damping.

  • Patent number: 9760215
Abstract: Methods for determining a touch-and-hold touch event on a touch sensitive interaction surface of a touch sensing device are provided and comprise the steps of: a) determining a touch location of the touch event based on vibrations, such as bending waves, propagating through the interaction surface and b) determining whether the touch event comprises a hold touch event based on a sensed airborne signal. A device configured to carry out such methods is also provided.

  • Patent number: 9046959
Abstract: The invention relates to an electronic device with a touch sensitive surface comprising: a sensing means for capturing an acoustic signal, a touch location determining unit configured to determine the location of a touch event on the touch sensitive surface based on the acoustic signal. To improve the reliability of the touch localization process, the device further comprises a filtering unit configured to improve the signal-to-noise ratio of the acoustic signal based on one or more signals provided by one or more spurious acoustic signal generating devices of the electronic device and/or based on one or more parameters of the one or more spurious acoustic signal generating devices of the electronic device. The invention also relates to a corresponding method. The invention furthermore relates to a method for improving the confidentiality of a user input.
